Absolutely wonderful. I love old museums. After I left the Army in the early 1980s I decided to find my Great Uncle's Wargrave from WWI. I knew where he had been interred in 1917, so I started there. This turned out to be a challenging endeavour. His body had been moved in 1964. From the Hospital where he was originally buried I travelled across France following various leads. This meant staying in towns and villages gathering more details. During this time I discovered lots of little museums. Many Toy museums as well as memorials and tributes to the fallen. The toy museums were an entirely new experience for me and helped fill my time after long journeys. Thank you for this excellent trip down memory lane. I love your work. Cheers

Wow what an adventure. I am currently also on the hunt for a WW1 monument, there's no body as he went down with his ship. Small museums have such heart and are often so unexpected. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Sounds amazing!
@tomsenior74057 ай бұрын
@@throughlucyslens I can assure you I am not at all adventurous. It was a time of small towns and villages, interspersed with overnight train rides. My Great Uncle now rests at Terlincthun British Cemetery, Wimille. He was only 17 years old. Best of Luck to you in completing your quest. Warmest Regards.

You visit places I love and this is no exception. We are so like minded.. I have two dolls houses and collect bears and a few dolls. I must check out your dolls house vlog. Loved the museum and recognised so many of the toys on display. I had a few of them. Glad the staff were welcoming. Yes, it is important that these exhibits are retained for posterity. Thanks again Lucy.😊

Such a fab find! You could lose an entire day in there exploring everything. As someone who is too sentimental to part with any of the soft toys I was gifted as a baby the vintage teddy bears would always be the highlight for me. My grandad would’ve loved the Dinky collection and the micro models though
