Ash, may I offer a bit of advice after 30 years on the tools in London. Don't put the scrim on your shoulder, you'll regret it years down the road. The dampness will cause arthritis in your shoulder. I was told this when I was a young 'un and ignored it, wish I hadn't now. I live on the other side of the world now so don't have to bother about cold or damp weather anymore, but believe me it will happen. Love your videos mate, keep 'em coming.
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that. When I started out I knew window cleaners who had done it their whole life and would complain about various aches and pains. So that’s partly why I’ve always tried to get variety into what I do. Thanks for your comments.😃👍🏼

Used my new black series today have to say not that much difference from standard in fact was a little disappointed that it didn't come with s series channel and the longer handle . The sleeve was good and held a good amount of water .

Love a bit of trad work. Miss it when you do 99% by wfp. How's the green rubber mate? I've been using the razorblade red rubber in my liquidators for a while now, just ordered some of the NXT-R rubber from moerman to try in my liqs.

Hi, prefer the moerman liquidator over any other squeegy, for me, it is unrivalled. As for soap i use shampoo, very kind on the hands, suds up nicely.

@@aemackintosh yes,that is so true . Especially in window cleaning 🤣. Im 25 years in traditional cleaning, so satisfying, i keep on striving for near perfect performance, and i find the Moerman squeegy gives me that. It certainly puts a smile on my face every time I use it!

Such an inspiration for which I have enjoyed following your channel and watching your videos. Gardiner WFP pole, backpack and brushes have now arrived but I am pushing myself to learn the trad style first. I also have the black series kit in your video but today I am finding that the squeege rubber on the edges is hitting the frame and leaving water down the sides. Any advice?
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
The ends of the rubber can flip up when they hit the sides. I find them fractionally too long for the channel. Try cutting a few mm off the end of the rubber and see if that helps.😃👍🏼

I’m still practicing my Trad skills. I find after I’ve cut in to the top left and then move to the right the squeegee starts to drag and judder across the glass toward the corners. What am I doing wrong? Too steep and angle?
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
A steep angle is good. It can depend on the frame around the glass sometimes, the rubber can get caught up on it. Try not to press into the frame too much, but keep the pressure on to the glass and let the squeegee flow.😎👍🏼
@andyjcoop4 жыл бұрын
Keep your eye sharp on the top corner of your squeege. It wants to be cutting along the top of the window but not banging against it. There is a difference but I didn't learn it untill experience came knocking. I like a 45 degree tilt with a 45 degree angle of the tool. It gives that leading edge of the rubber a point that cuts perfectly. I hope that makes sense.

Moerman Liquidator nie pozostawia żadnych śladów wody na brzegach nawet pod dowolnym katem prowadzenia listwy zbieraka. Moerman Liquidator does not leave any traces of water on the edges, even at any angle of the collecting bar.

Top golf pros talk about soft hands. Meaning a light grip . Also top snooker players. Ash is a top pro trad . Light grip allowing the tool to do its job. An amateur or inexperienced trad grip the tool too hard. This puts too much shoulder into the movement causing a unbalanced rigid action.
@aemackintosh4 жыл бұрын
Great! I’m glad you noticed that! I’ve heard Trad guys complain about aches in their shoulders and elbow, and I think they should allow it to pivot in their hand more.😃👍🏼
