Shes actually correct that alcohol is sugar, thats literally how beer and whiskey are created and we dont drink 100% alcohol so the remaining volume is unconverted sugars. So converted and unconverted sugar. And yes, the morning after drinking, your body is still processing the alcohol AND the sugars so you can have a sugar high.

I loved the trixy questionable facts, because I literally have done a university project about alcohol metabolism and it's effects long and short term depending on the amount consumed. And I literally read the paper that they showed on screen (and many many more) for it.

@@theomcinturff1213 well, alcohol simply gets metabolized into acetyl-CoA (the molecule that is used in the crebs cycle, is common among most catabolic pathways). But the accumulation of Acetyl-CoA will inhibit the glucose metabolism (and lipids too) and due to it, the body will start using the alcohol energy to generate glucose (gluconeogenesis) and lipids ( but mainly lipids). The "sugar rush" is mainly caused by the accumulation of sugar (cause it isn't metabolised) but mainly because the extra energy from the alcohol acts kinda like sugar. That is the gist of it ( I left so much out, you couldn't believe it)
