Uni-Byte 0212 - Two TESMEN DMMs for the HANDYMAN. TSM-522S & TSM-192

I've been using the TSM-5222S for a few days now. My verdict has not changed. For what a homeowner/handyman needs a meter for this meter ticks all the boxes. Plus I'm honestly impressed with the speed of measurement in auto mode. It blows my $200 Brymen away in this respect and all I have to do is turn it on. It figures everything else out itself.

Does it do auto mode for checking a diode or capacitance in a circuit?

No, capacitance and diodes are not covered by the auto mode. I don't think many DMMs can do that, especially in circuit.

Of course you do! LOL! I was thinking these would make perfect loaners for when you neighbor comes a borrowing. They are tough enough to survive anything yet not something that costs a fortune.

@uni-byte Not sure if you know, I'm in Australia. I discovered some Corner Gas episodes by chance on the Internet by CTV, watched the first ep Ruby .. and I was hooked, saw me through a few weeks of pneumonia. Hoped you would pick up on it.😉 As for meters, the best meter in the world, is the one in your hand.😆 I like your testing boards. Not too many would think to make up their own, "standard s" comparisons kit.👍

@@snakezdewiggle6084 Corner Gas was a great show. Best Canadian series ever! We were so disappointed when they called it quits. My son used to race off-road motorcycles at the por-level. On one trip out the the western rounds whilst passing through Saskatchewan we stopped at the location they used for the out-door shots. It was pretty cool, but it was about 3 years after the show finished, so it had seen a little vandalism.
