Happy New Year and end of postal strike. I finally got a book I ordered from the UK a few days before I realized a strike was looming. I think the unknown component in the kid friendly kit is a reed switch. Take care.

Nice haul. Looking forward to some of the future videos I recently bought one of those pen type multimeters on amazon. Mines the Aneng A3007 and it's actually pretty good considering that it was only $12.

I have that “pencil” multimeter. I think they call it a car test light in the listings. I like it because it’s cheap and it works. I throw it in the car or whatever and don’t worry about it.

Would like to see you do the mod where you make the pen meter backlight stay on all the time. There is a missing resistor which is present on the reverse LCD display version, you just need to add the "0" resistor in the right place. I'm wondering if you have to heat up the label to get it off without destroying it? I figure if anyone can get it open carefully, it would be you 🤩
