Well yeah, all in all there was just 1 uni-vibe, they try to change the tone to make it sound like the recording but the tone-change is definitely not coming from uni-vibe.

For me I preferred the Fillmore east & tiny 69. I currently have a R Weaver midnight vibe on each of my two boards. If you haven’t checked out Rick’s vibes they are really good.

I agree, Fillmore was my favorite, I have a 1968 Gold edition and a Scarlet Vibe from Rick (Love both). Rick's retain more top end clarity though which I really like.

Some are just slightly more gritty than others or had their resonant point moved just slightly. I preferred the Tiny 68 as it is just slightly more mellow and laid back. It's more pedal board size is helpful. Thanx RJ ..it was a very good idea and very well done.

Fillmore and the 68 are “chewier” and darker. The Maui and Woodstock "airier' sounding; they are nearly identical and they seem to have slightly more of the phaser tone coning through. The Maui is just a tad darker than the Woodstock, with the Woodstock being the brightest of the bunch.

I own the tiny 69 but believe me... even though this excellent video captures the essence of the different models, when you play it, the experience is totally different !

Just ordered the 69 full size one.. Been comparing for about 8 months haha.. I was pretty set on the 68, really dig the filmore.. but was sure 68 because the fatness but i think what i hear is the 69 may have a little more " presence" to bring forward and can dial in extra low end for the filmore type effect.. I dont know, the best i can really describe it haha.. They are really close... I thought the pedal pawn gypsy vibe was what i was goin with but felt just a touch of something missing and these sabbadius have that extra sound that i only hear on original units and these.. A dynamic of the throb...Just need to find a Rocktavia and ill be set! Man great stuff and great playing R.J really dig ya brother.

Are they all in Chorus Mode? I seriously, could not hear any difference between them. Suppose they have similar Internal's. Variance appear to be Control's, and Expression Pedal Capable. The "Wish Wash" sound is the desired effect, and each one had it. The Fuzz gave me Brain Goose Bump's. Aside from physical appearance differences, Unknown pricing, and Expression Pedal control, it would seem the one you prefer, has a performance quality above the other's. I would like to read your personal opinion on your choice, over the other's, and why. Summary: I really could not distinguish any difference between them, and think parameter control and price are the only difference. I am searching for the best Hendrix, Trower Gilmore sound, and thank you for your effort's in helping us lover's, of that captivating groovy sound, which allows so much freedom of expression and enjoyment, of what is notably, one of the most cherished sound created for our ear's and mind, to groove on. Sabbadius seems to be above the rest. Comparing Effect's, is true Science. Thank you.

They are all extremely close, as would be expected. I do like the original and the big 1968 the best. Those two sound identical to me and have the most throb.

Thank you Ron.. I've been waiting for this. I have the Woodstock version and I was curious to hear the Maui next to it. Should I sale the Woodstock version to buy the Maui version, is the question I keep asking myself. What is your opinion? Is the Maui a better sounding vibe than the Woodstock? It's hard to really get the full acoustic drone over the internet.

I have both Maui and Woodstock. the biggest difference is there is more chewiness and a rounder sound wave it can get so chewy you don’t wanna turn the intensity past 7-8 on the Maui. The Woodstock has more of a square sound wave it’s probably the most versatile one. if you can I’d say keep the Woodstock and buy the Maui as well. This video doesn’t show the Woodstocks sound well there a sweet spot on the Woodstock.

Hey RJ...what about the idea of using NO PEDALS??? I know you can make endless videos of endless pedals but for what? To emulate someone elses sound? What about YOUR SOUND? Joe Bonamassa dropped pedals and uses 2 vintage Bassmans live. And most great solos are on the clean side (cleaner than most would think). Pedals=CRUTCH

He makes a living by doing demos of pedals, so why would he use no pedals? Some of us like echo/delay, reverb, tremolo, phaser, chorus, etc. We just like it. Much in the same way that you just like no pedals. Of course RJ can play well. Incredible player actually. With or without pedals. But if he likes them, why not? Joe played great with pedals, and now plays great without - the pedals don't determine the skill, nor do they mask bad playing. One last thing Maria: newbs always give themselves away with statements like yours. AS IF someone with years of experience gigging and recording would never have played without pedals. Please, just... give us all a break.

LOL, Joe B plays a lot of covers from great original artists (so not original)! Without pedals we would never have experienced the amazing iconic guitar tones of David Gilmore (especially Gilmore), Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Eddie Van Halen, and just about every great electric guitarist ever known.
