Is the grip metal or just the tip?

The tip plus some underneath the grip (for the weighted lower body) is metal, but where you grip is plastic on the outside. You would have to unscrew the barrel and look down inside the bottom half of the barrel to see more metal beyond the tip. I hope that explanation makes sense!
