As a post graduate of UoB the Vale is an amazing place for student accommodation. Different types of accommodation blocks to suit your needs/budget, all centralised around a park-land lake. Just beware of the Geese, they become quite feisty in the Spring.

I was in Lake Hall (now Shackleton) between 1980-83, so during the 1982 Falklands War, The Vale inevitably became known as "Goose Green" because of the 'land mines' all over the footpath!

It’s changed since I was there in 1987/1988. High Hall has been demolished and it’s all gone upmarket.
