Absolutely amazing!!!! I was just talking with my daughter about who that one person is who can take dollar25tree items and make them look soo fabulous that you can’t tell it was from there!! You, my dear friend, are that person!! Everything is beautiful and you’re right, those gnomes (which I have lol) look soo fabulous the way you painted and waxed them. The last item was stunning too, those colors with those papers were to die for! Roycycled Treasures papers are so beautiful, soo easy to work with and an amazing price for all that you get!! I really love Christmas gnomes so that made me love all gnomes. They're like smurfs! I remember watching the gnome mobile movie when I was little... by Disney I think. Does anyone else remember that movie? Nice work on the gnomes Sammie! They're adorable 🙂

I never was crazy about gnomes....but I found some cute ones for Valentine's day at dollar tree.....which was shocking because DT'S in Florida are the worst!! I bought some adorable socks at DT I'd like to try and make a gnome or two for sumner.....now I need something inexpensive for the beards!! This is how projects start adding up!!

You are correct when you say the planters are stunning!!!! I love the texture and color. I’ve just started purchasing some IOD moulds. Working with clay takes practice but it’s so worth the work in the end.

Thank you for all the inspiration! I started off with dollar tree and Waverly products and all. Once I found IOD and DIY about 2 years ago it changed my crafting and DIY to such an awesome level.. Candice!! This right here. I don’t think a lot of people realize that it costs more in the supplies you need at dollar tree to create one diy then going out and buying one quality item at the thrift store for the same price. I love my IOD and DIY products. Definitely takes it to another level

You might try putting clear wax on top of the too dark coat and rub off. It might take some dark off. You could also put a little white wax on top.

Gnomes are my jam... 😄.. Seriously though my dad passed away a few years ago right before the holidays, a good friend gave me a christmas gnome because she said it reminded her of my dad.. As I looked at it I literally seen my dad and memories started running through my mind... It truly was an awesomely weird feeling.. I took a pair of his reading glasses and popped out the lenses and wrapped them around the gnomes eyes to make him look even more like my beloved dad.. To this day he's standing on my coffee bar just with a different outfit than he originally had... I swear if so gnomes were thinner, especially some that i see while shopping like my dad was and I didn't know any better I'd think my dad was their inspiration for creating how gnomes look... lol.. So now days we are a gnome loving family... I even have a gnome party scene outside in my yard where I've put all the naughty gnomes I've found while gnome hunting.. Weird little fact: as much as I Iove gnomes I don't decorate seasonal with them.. Yes I do have a few here and there throughout the house but not like you would think or expect because of how much I love them... lol
