Man the Test Drive games used tk be so great, especially because if the inclusion of all the unique cars even if the models were wonky. TD 4, 5, 6, off road 1 and 2 and Unlimited are some of my all time favorites

The Lexus GS implementation that makes no sense. The model is of the 450h hybrid, including the kW power output meter rather than a tachometer which even is shown with the 3rd person HUD, but the mechanical operation and stats are that of the 350 non-hybrid, including the 6 speed automatic gearbox (versus a CVT on the hybrid). Why did they not just go with a GS350 model?

Lexus really wanted to push its hybrid models, hence why the LS600h L was also in TDU1.

EXTRA NOTES · I always saw the Firepower as a Mercedes-ified Viper, something closer to an SL AMG. · The 1600cc engine of the "Super Beetle" is a very popular engine for early-Porsche replicas and some Beetle-related racing classes. · The Audi R8R was the German Audi LMP while the R8C was the British-made one. The better one evolved into the incredibly successful R8 LMP car, the other one became the Bentley Speed 8. · The early-2000s Volkswagen concept sports cars are clear signs of what the group was going to become in the coming years (Lamborghinis, Audi R8 and even the Bugattis). · Weirdly enough, the T-Rex kinda became reality years later once Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler joined forces... except it became the 6x6 G-class with a big fat AMG engine instead. · The Mustang Super Stallion was made as a way to test the waters and see if bringing back the GT500 could make sense. The car was quite a success and the SVT Cobra came to be before the GT500 returned for the next generation. · The Dodge Copperhead followed the whole "Dodge Viper is just a remake of the AC Cobra" storyline. After remaking the Cobra 427, Lee Iacocca wanted to go for the Cobra 289. · The Nissan Xterra made little sense overall as it was just a Frontier/Navara-based SUV... which the Pathfinder already was. This SUV was so boring it didn't even have a single sneaky-fast upgradeable engine like many many Nissan models. · The mid-2000s Range Rover Sport is possibly the single car to blame when it comes to overly-powerful absurdly heavy SUVs so common nowadays.

Not only used for Porsche replicas, early porsches themselves had Beetle engine, flatsix was built in 1964 for the 911, and also because 2.0L was considered a too high displacement to still enlarge the old VW unit, which came back in 912, a rare cheaper version of 911, usually recognizable for the steel rims instead of the Fuchs ones, then 914 base version, the VW engine reached 1800cm³ displacement

@@adlibbed2138 they are, they talk about it here and there, not a lot of talk but in very recent interview they again confirm it, probably in this week, just before the crow pass. Hopefully it fixes at least connection, IA and optimization. TDU have daily 100K player now (PS5/XBox and PC), far from FH but not that bad. Rating is bad because the game is not finished, but it's not a bad game either. As far as I know, it's not planned to close the servers, they know there are a lot of issues (at least 300 according to them), it's a little team (90 persons, it's not AAA game) and Nacon wants to publish the game in Q4, but KT is confident for the next months/years, I don't know if they can do it for several years, but for at least few months it's not really an issue, after that ... we don't know for now, we'll see with the few next fixes. But if they not fix the connection before Pass... it'll first step in grave, but I know people close to them (I'm close geographically), and for now they are working on it, next weeks will be fateful.

Some critique/suggestions for the new "Obscurity" statistic in your videos, which I personally feel is unnecessary, tbh, since the idea is that they're all quite rare or forgotten to some degree? But figured I'd humor it in case you wanna keep it: 2/5 or 4/5 of... what, exactly? Is 1/5 the most obscure or is 5/5 the most obscure? It assumes too much from the viewer to know how obscure a car is in comparison to another, especially one not super familiar with cars and car lore (which is most people). Adding a word(s) next to each number to denote its scale would help people understand what you're trying to say better, e.g. 3/5 = Somewhat Known, or something.

Thanks for the feedback! This obscurity rating thing is somewhat incomplete at the moment, and I'm trying to find a better way to quickly state how unknown a car is generally, not just in terms of game appearances (If it was only about appearances, all cars would be at least 3, but in general, for example, a Lexus GS is pretty commonly known despite not appearing in many games for various reasons). Using an x out of x number rating system, 1 should be the lowest, meaning it's a commonly known car, while 5 would mean it's extremely obscure, with not many people knowing about its existence and barely any resources available about it; however, changing it to a word-based rating is a possible alternative.

@@thesis4349 well unfortunately the xterra only lasted 2 generations as many changes with gas mileage requirements, cross overs becoming more popular, losing interest in body on frame suv's are some of factors for nissan to end production so thank you and have a good day bye now.
