EXTRA FACTS · The Sintura S99 GT1 is a classic case of "made too late" as the GT1 class was almost over before the car was actually completed · Thanks to the generous engine bay, the 2nd Chevy Astro has been used over the years for some crazy builds · The Pontiac GTO Concept ended up looking nothing like the actual revival of the GTO, which was mostly a Holden Commodore SS with the steering wheel on the left side · To everyone's surprise, the weird Mk1 Tigra was so successful that Ford responded with the Puma. Both cars weren't much successful. The Tigra returned after 3-4 years without one for sale while the Puma was never revived after just 1 generation.

Correction: The Pontiac GTO revival was based on the Holden Monaro SS. Pontiac G8 is the one that was based on the Holden Commodore SS, specifically the VE generation if I remember correctly. Later down the line the VF generation Commodore SS is rebadged as the Chevrolet SS

The Arash AF10 was gonna use a V10, supposedly the 5.5L Judd GV5 according to some information on its initial plans, but it seems they discarded it in favor of just using the LS V8 which is unfortunate as its not so unique anymore. Also i feel like the 2k HP claim is false.

That Roco 001 looks like those Formula 5000-dervived Can-Am race cars from the late-1970s and Early to Mid-1980s (which later evolved into the American IndyCar Series).

I guess the reason Konami added the Astro to Enthusia was.......the obsession of American vans in Japan. American vans has a place in Japanese custom car scene, with Astro and the Dodge van (Dajiban) as main '"heroes" of the scene.

The Abflug Supra is also featured in Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero, but under a generic name as a boss car. It's also built on a Supra SZ-R (the NA variant) and as a result is nowhere near as powerful as the real thing with the twin turbos
