I know this is a little bit too late for you, but if anybody else buy those mounts the best way to stop a wobble from appearing is use thread lock that’s what it’s made for

Where can I find straight power cable so that I can tuck cable inside like you ?

If you search for "uniden hardwire tap" there should be thin cables that can tap into your rear view mirror power. If you want to hardwire directly into your fuse box Uniden makes their own hardwire cable that is straight and has a little box for muting the device and viewing status lights.

Can u do a set up of kband xband etc or do u think default setting are ok ?

X-band isn't needed unless you live in Ohio or New Jersey. K-Band can probably work with most of the default filters, unless you're in PA where they supposedly use a special K-Band. I always used the K-Band filters and it would still go off around the state police but more recently noticed it doesn't go off as much by them. I'm not sure if it's because they aren't gunning for speeds anymore or because the filters are too aggressive so on the R8 I'm currently not running any K-Band filters and it goes off all the time with door openers, some vehicles, and all modern Jeeps. I'll have to do more research on PA K-Band or see what frequency they use if I ever pick them up to know whether I should use K-Band filters or not. But if you don't live in Pennsylvania you can probably run most of the filters.

For the most part I prefer it over the R8 since it's smaller, has most of the same features, and the volume levels are better when I have it auto mute to 1 to where I can just barely hear it but 1 on the R8 is still loud enough to be annoying. Obviously I do prefer the better accuracy of the R8 along with the arrows but the R3 is probably the better and more practical buy.

@@olasek7972 One of the drawbacks of the R7/8 is the size, especially if it's mounted on the rear view mirror and I do prefer the size of my R3.

@@Mr.Everything in my larger SUV I have R7, in my small sport car I got the small R4, neither is mounted at the rear view mirror however.

@@olasek7972 Unfortunately in my Impala, I can't fit it at the top of the windshield, and any lower is directly in my field of vision, so the rear view mirror is the only spot it fits correctly. They fit great at the top of my windshield in my Crown Victoria but I keep my R3 in that one since it's less likely to hit with radar.
