This the definitive version of this masterpiece of a song! Marc's voice was breathtaking in person and still stuns me today 27 years after his passing.

I saw these guys live in a Melbourne Australia some 30 years ago. I bought their cassette and played it in car till I knew every song by heart. They were phenomenal live. Time to find that cassette again, and something to play it. 🙂

I saw the Nylons in Vancouver (or maybe Victoria?), anyway in a small concert hall with great acoustics in the province of BC in Canada, many years ago. I've never forgotten the music from that concert.

The Nylons lineup of the 80s were amazing! My quartet always tried to emulate them in high school. Didn't sound like them, but Lord, were we inspired by their music and vocals.

We used to go down to the Ontario Place Forum to hear them perform live every summer. Phenominal sound! Great memories! Now, Mark is gone. The Ontario Place Forum is gone. Many years have passed. But we still have the recordings. Thanks for posting this.

So glad the original line-up was captured so well. Exquisite voices. And, when they pause for the resonance to dissipate at 3:33... so cool. (It's not just the way they shape the sound, it's also the way they shape the space between the sound). Love this.

I remember finding out about them in the 80s and going to their first concert in Victoria, B.C. Canada and then going to the record store every day to see if their album was in yet so that I could buy it! I loved those guys and RIP, the members who have passed away. It was wonderful how those men could sing and entertain!!!! 💜

In the late 1990's, me and my buddy used to listen to The Nylons (mostly their "So Happy Together" CD) incessantly! It's literally impossible to put into words how magical it is hearing them, and the effect it has on me!

In the early 80s friends & I heard 'In the Jungle' and fell in love. We formed our own group called "Me & The Boys" [after their song of that name] in Toronto and did a little amateur stuff for a few years. We saw the Nylons every time they played here in Toronto and even saw them around the city occasionally. It was a fantastic and fun time... and we all miss Marc and the guys who had such a huge musical influence on four young guys many years ago. Marc, Paul, Claude and Arnold... thank you.

There are some wonderful a capella groups, but there is only one Nylons. I ticked a box on my bucket list when I got to design and tun the lighting for one of their last shows. I was spell-bound along with every member of the audience.

When I was a teenager I spend the night with my cousin a lot, and my aunt would turn out all of the lights at night and light candles, and turn the Nylons up loud... When I fell madly in love shortly thereafter I'd listen to "A touch of your hand" over and over... It's impossible to communicate the magic of the time and how magical the music was for me...

I met Marc and the members way back at a little club La Brassierie. I fell in love with all of them, but there was something about Marc - I don't know what it was, but a certain something. I was very sad when I heard he had died - a bloody loss that should not have happened. Anyway please know that your brother touched so many people deeply that 20 some odd years later (in my case 30 plus years later) they still remember him and mourn that such a talent was taken too soon. He was very special.

I was at the Nylons 'reunion' show in Tor last night - amazing to see the current group with Billy, Mark and Micah added in - and video tributes to Arnold, Paul and Marc - including this one - the original group really was special - I'm sure I was one of the first in my seat for those Ontario Place concerts

I remember how you could go down, toss a blanket over your seats to save your spot and then go off and enjoy the park knowing no one would move it. Miss those simpler, more respectful days! Oh, and the "bonus" performance during soundcheck!

Having had the pleasure of seeing a half dozen Nylons shows over as many years, and having enjoyed every one, I can tell you that this was the best combination that I ever saw. As much as I love Arnold and Claude, Marc and Paul were just of another world. To this day, I have yet to hear voices that move me like this. I hear the word and tones, and I'm 20 years younger and a much happier person. Even after the music has ended, the music hasn't ended. That says it all.

Perfectly said. 2020 brings me here because I need a simpler time in my been years when I could be in love with Marc ❤️ (what did I know? 1980 were a different time) and he sang Town Without Pity to me at Gage Park in Hamilton and I almost lost my marbles. I watch this video and just cry.

So nice to see Marc Connors. I first met him when he had the lead role in Neptune Theatre's production of "Godspell" back in 1975. (Halifax, NS) From there he went to Stratford and then you see him in the Nylons. Sadly his career ended suddenly at such a young age.

When Marc was too ill to perform, the nylons were booked to do a Japan tour. Maybe it was 1988? They were looking for a fill in quartet and we were contacted but we were booked. We did not know that Marc was ill. Only later did we learn why they had cancelled.

Nicely done, but if you sang this song on this side of the border, the locals would have cleaned your pockets out before you got to the first chorus. And you would be begging from up on the roof! But take your time.
