This song is timeless and passionate-I like it as much now as I did 30 years ago when I was in my late teens. I get bittersweet feelings when I hear songs like these from the salad days of my youth. Ah the memories of places I had been to and the people whom I crossed paths with...I look back with great fondness. Thank you Corey Hart for contributing to my life in a small but meaningful way.

Yeah!! I was 13/14 when Corey was lighting up the charts.. I think alot of folks have forgotten this tune.. it wasn't as popular as his other ballad that charted here in the USA (i'm sure he was more popular and had more singles in his native Canada), "Never Surrender".. any radio stations that play 1980s music these days will ONLY play "Sunglasses At Night" and "Never Surrender".. good times indeed!!

I could capture all the love the great romantics had Sing you a song like "sunglasses at night" But that ain't enough That's too much fright for you And I could carry the weight of your sad times, dear And give you a ride like Paul Revere I could preach about a love that one shouldn't forsake Work on my body, give my hips a shake I could pour you a drink like I pour out my heart Smile when I'm sad and act dumb when my records don't chart But that ain't enough That ain't enough for you

On this day in 1984 {November 3rd} a video of Corey Hart's "It Ain't Enoung" was aired on the ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... At the time "It Ain't Enough"" was at position #28 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, four weeks later it would peak at #17 {for 2 weeks} and it spent nineteen weeks on the Top 100... It reached #4 on his native Canada's RPM Singles chart... Between 1984 and 1990 the Montreal, Quebec native had ten records on the Top 100 chart, two made the Top 10, "Sunglasses At Night" {#7 for 1 week in 1984} and "Never Surrender" {#3 for 2 weeks in 1985}... In his native Canada he charted thirty two times, ten made the Top 10 with two* reaching #1, "Never Surrender" {1985} and "Can't Help Falling In Love" {1986}... Corey Mitchell Hart will celebrate his 58th birthday come next May 31st, 2020... * And from the 'For What It's Worth' department, he just missed having two more #1 records when both his "In Your Soul" {1988} and "Black Cloud Rain" {1996} peaked at #2 on the RPM Singles chart...

Such a classy song, always loved it since I heard it back in '84. Love that sax...and this was from a supposed teen heart-throb of the time This song proves that Corey was by no means a bubblegum singer, unlike today's talentless crap. The other version of the song proves it again..the guy's really got some soul. "Sunglasses" only shows one side of Corey, obviously. Always dug the video, as well...

rbrasi7 If you're single, you should try to find her. Who knows where she is or what she's doing, but maybe she thinks of you too from time to time and wonders the same thing. We're not getting any younger and you may regret not ever finding out. Even if she's married or otherwise taken, she may still enjoy hearing from you and reminiscing about that time. Don't let the opportunity pass by, do it before it's too late. As Tom Cochrane sings in his song 'Big League': Never can tell what might come down - Never can tell when you might check out - Just don't know, no you never can tell

....Corey was workin' that pout to DEATH! ()...ha-HAA!! ..This was the 2nd "U.S. Version", intersecting a story-line; Corey (apparently) has a breakup with his main squeeze, who seems to be on the fence of wanting him back (1:14); but, from the "LOOK" Magazines she's reading, she wants a taste of the "Glamorous Life", more.... (cont.) ...She moves on to a 'Yuppie" type, but Corey bombards them on their date; She's clearly still smitten, but feels she 'owes' something, to "Yuppie" (2:45).... Corey's fearful of losing her for good (notice his heavy breathing, at 3:05), and, shouts out to her..... ...It Ain't ENOUGH!? ...Is it EVER enough.......

I believe the sax player is Andy Hamilton. You'll find that there are two versions of this song, this one being the best. The sax player on Corey's song 'In Your Soul' is Ingrid Stitt from Dauphin, Manitoba. I kinda' knew her to say hi to her in the early '70's and her folks run the old Rexall pharmacy in town. Ingrid has played back up with many groups and orchestra's around the world. She has a website and lives in Vancouver, B.C..
