Well done! Thank you! These pumps are pretty expensive, so I was hoping to be able to rebuild it. I’ve had plenty of practice with clogged foot valves, and the plastic tubing and parts getting brittle over time, however the problem I have now, is I noticed the pump is dead, and not even running. I need to throw a meter on it to make sure it’s getting juice. It’s pretty old, so may be burned out completely. In that case a rebuild kit wouldn’t help this situation. It’s been to cold for me to want to mess with it right now, so I was sitting in a warm spot and doing some research. Your video is short , sweet, and to the point. Well done Sir!👊

Why didn't you install a Uni-Valve in the top port in your video OR did you previously install it and didn't show that?

Dear William - thanks so much for this video - it helped me a lot and saved me a service visit. We bought an older home with a well system and Unidose pump etc. (with Chlorine tank, carbon, softener etc.) The system was inspected and operational at the time. 6 months later we notice a different in the water quality and I checked the injector - it was calcified. I needed to replace the duckbills (uni-valves) and cleaned all fittings / parts, but during my disassembly I notice the checkball and spring were not present in the injector fitting. The system is operating normally (like it did previously) but is it necessary to have this spring and checkball? Also - now that I know these things need regular maintenance, what is the recommended time period of checking all the fittings for calcification in order to prevent problems before they occur? Thanks for your time.

Hey William. I'm trying to troubleshoot my unidose pump. Just bought my house and fixed the irrigation system and it has this unidose pump hooked up to the sprinkler pump to give it an anti-rust agent for my well pump. I checked everything, hoses, the diaphragm, hose attachment nipples, everything seems to checkout. I primed the pump and it works well when it is not connected the irrigation pipe with the line jump and spitting serum out the nipple on the end. As soon as I screw it into the irrigation pipe it seems to not be pumping as the hose stops "jumping" ... Is this a pressure issue? Is the nipple bad? Any info is appreciated thanks

Hey There may be an obstruction in the water pipe. Hard to tell from here. The manufacturer manual is on our website www.discountwatersupply. com. Look for Helpful Information link. Hey.

I have this model and it keeps making a loud pumping noise. I'm not sure what it is. I looked at another one of your videos about priming it when hearing this noise but i do not have that model. Any ideas?

How do you prime it?
@kjowers403 жыл бұрын
I was asking the same question. Ours does not have a prime button, so I found this in the manual, "If the pump does not self-prime, remove the fitting or bleed/priming valve on the discharge side of the pump head. Remove the Uni-Valve and pour water or solution into the port until the head is filled. Replace valve, then follow start up/priming steps."
