Correction: DCU stands for Desert Camouflage Uniform, not Desert Combat Uniform. Don’t even know why I keep saying it, but this is a mistake.

Panama and Grenada were full fledged interventions, with deployments of ground troops, not just advisors. M81 was also used by marines in the Gulf War due to a shortage of desert uniforms. I can understand why you’d associate it with wannabe commandos though, since it’s really cheap for surplus uniforms and is popular among airsofters.

I’ve always been interested in only WW2 Militaria and I’ve been reenacting WW2 German FJ or SS since 1997…. But I absolutely love your videos and format, it has drawn me in to these “modern” subjects that I always used to think was not very interesting. Your videos are borderline dangerous for me because they’re mighty close to getting me to spend MORE money on MORE Militaria ! Anyways, if you ever need help on anything WW2 German gear related, shoot me a message, as I’ve accumulated a fair amount of combat gear.

Oh man, don't get me started on Colt (AR-15) Carbines of the 80's and 90's. It feels like there's more variants and sub variants of Colt's Carbines than ALL of the AKs combined. (Obviously there aren't, but the vibe.)
