Interviewer: We're at Kamppi's Narinkkatori, NRJ Show in Helsinki and Uniklubi is also performing. Jussi and Antti at hand now. So, back when RjP had its breakthrough and in the year after the band has gained exactly 100kg of weight, or at least that's what the guy from the old record company told me. What do you actually do over the year, [note: i don't know how to translate the rest of the question]
Antti: Yes I believe that gaining weight is the same matter for everyone in a band. It touches the ones more and maybe others less, but I guess it's levelled.
Interviewer: Well but you got rid of it again. What does it take to get 100 kg away?
Jussi: What does it take... exercising, exercise bikes, and skiing and those kinds of things a Finnish man does.
Interviewer: Does it annoy you that you have to give up on pizza and beer? Or, well, I don't know, did you give up on it?
Antti: No I have to say that I never really gave up on those, but let's say their consumption is more balanced by now.
Interviewer: 'Mitä vittua' is a rather tricky name. Did it get lots of reactions from the audience?
Antti: Yeeah in the beginning before the record was relased, the names of the songs circulated a little in the forum and elsewhere beforehand, and there did come some comments and something, but it was mostly about 'iritating that you gotta go on that humouristic trip now', but apart from that, when the people really listened to the song there wasn't anything to be heard. [note: XD Antti is saying that very complicated and with lots of repetition. I tried to cut it down to the essentials ;)]
Interviewer: Jussi, as a vocalist you had to fight problems with your voice for a while, and being one of those "voice-people" as well, one has to take care of ones voice. You also lost your voice a few times. It'd be interesting to know how you take care of your voice? [note that the finnish transcription of this one is most likely incorrect in some parts]
Jussi: ähm... voice-therapy, for one, and then voice-care, that is the opening of the voice and well... it's a bit about way of life, these things influence the voice in many ways, like in which state you are, whether there is stress, which also influences the voice. It's a bit like ... I remember that somebody said that your own voice is a bit like a mirror to the soul. [note: in the beginning Jussi is being very crypitic again. If he'd just cut the repetitions and fillings, it would be so much easier to follow him XD]
Interviewer: So did you have to undergo surgery?
Jussi: Yees my vocal cords have been cut a bit here and there, getting rid of the hoarseness.
Interviewer: Does the band take part in any of those summer- or juhannus-events if you don't have to play on festivals?
Antti: Sure. Or at least I like it, though I enjoy playing on juhannus-festivals and being on the road with cool guys / good friends more than doing anything else. Those events are... a little like ... at least for me personally ... well I prefer working with the band and then in my free time... that can be spent in other ways.
Interviewer: Thanks Antti and Jussi and have a great show!
Jussi: Thank you!
