... Out of all the videos I've viewed I think this is the first time I've seen a Motor CHP up there. Way back in the beginning of the Internet I was reminiscing with someone from California on PalTalk about my riding in the 1970's in California, I use to ride San Gabriel all the time as a cut through road to get to better roads up in the Sierra Nevada's, no Newcomb Ranch back then for fuel so with a 3 gallon tank you couldn't fuck around with all this up & down showoff stuff, you had to make it to Wrightwood for fuel or be stuck. I mean I did all the Coastal Canyons (zoo), Rock Store, West end of ACH (zoo) Mullholland etc. but back then when San Gabriel went to the top to ACH I never even passed one other vehicle on the road even at night time. But anyways this guy was telling me in the 80's especially on the west end of ACH to Mt. Wilson they had like 6 deaths on one weekend plus a survivor that had to be rescued from a 450' drop. CHP responded with 'Wolf Packs' of 6 Motor Officers to put a lid on the carnage.
@RedBud3154 күн бұрын
@@TeeTeeTwoOOsix I did more riding at the rock store just because there were a lot more gas stations between there and my house. Not as fast as the Crest and also no 600 foot drop offs. However, growing up in Hollywood my buddies and I used Mulholland Drive as our playground and we spent entire summers riding up there on our RD's every night. I preferred night time because less traffic and you could see headlights coming the other direction to let you know if you could cross the line or not. Paid off when I did 24 Hour WERA Race in 87 at Willow as I ended up being 5 seconds a lap faster than the other 4 team mates at night. When I came in after my 1st stint to hand the bike off they asked if I could do another one and I basically said "Hell Yeah!". Riding on the track was way more fun so I slowed down on the roads after that. Back in the 70's and 80's we rode in maybe groups of 4-5 bikes and never in the dozens or hundreds like all the Go-PROer's do today. Stay safe out there and keep the shiny side up.

He faced planted pretty hard and the bike barely missed landing on him. That would have been a whole different story had that happened especially when medical aid is not ready and waiting for your get off.

Good riding, pretty quick. Yeah mistakes are going to happen, entry was to early for the road that's all, and you paid the price. Lesson learnt. Get back together, and run it again with a later entry, you'll be good.

Did he get a copter ride?? Cause that’s pricey. Plus they should not let him sit up like that, he could have internal injuries.
