Great vid, Jocke - it's really good to watch something being made that does not involve anything electronic. I'm sure this is easily sturdy enough to give years of sterling service. BTW, the opposite of 'fine' thread is 'course' and the term 'pitch' can also be used in addition. Loved the finishing touches done by Caz, your cad expert, with the 3D printed bungs for the air inlet hoses.

Thanks Chris! If I think hard I know those terms, but then again, that's boring and I like to make a funny now and again. I'm pleased to see Caz taking more interest in making plugs, you know what I mean, eh?! 😎👍🏻

*Haaaaaaaaa!!!! "These things are called manuals"..... Yeah, I usually throw those things away first thing. 😂😂 New Subscriber! Usefully-good channel, proper editing, and sense of humor..... As a female, I could've done without seeing Nicolas Cage with long, flowing hair, but funny in a creepy way nonetheless. Cheers from Patagonia!!! 👍👍👍*

Thanks for the heartwarming comment! I might put in a warning next time I use the footage of the long haired gentleman again. 😂 Glad you're enjoying the info and the humour. I think we all need a chuckle from time to time. Take care and stay safe! 😎👍🏻👍🏻

The build is back on! Awesome! Ever thought of investing in a lathe?
@JockeSelin3 жыл бұрын
Full steam ahead, Nigel! I'd really like a lathe. In my old workshop I didn't have space for it, and in the new one, we just have to live without one. I already got rid of my mini milling machine. Everything is aimed at building the truck and then full time living in it.

Thanks! I hope it'll hold up for what we are going to use it for. It's not like we're a Unimog workshop and will be using it several times per day. 😁👍🏻

@@JockeSelin what is the basis lenght mounted? And what is the extended lenght with cabin in position when lifted ?
@JockeSelin3 жыл бұрын
@@cees1910 I'm going out there soon, but I just wanted to make sure I give you the correct measurements. You'd like to know what the distance between the chassis mount and the cab mount is when the cab is lowered and when the cab is raised to its current angle?
@cees19103 жыл бұрын
@@JockeSelin yes indeed
@JockeSelin3 жыл бұрын
Cool! Minimum distance is about 61cm, current distance as per the video is about 123cm and I think it can go another 60-80cm if you want to lift the engine out. Perhaps even more.

i hope you never have to use it though keep it dry en secure for future use , warp it in baking paper with a thin nature based oil , like line seed oil , in the paper then its secure for years to come
