one of the longest you can find before he passed, but i think this might have been just before he knew about his diagnosis [pre-August], so there are some short interviews/clips later on, somewhere >_< but he was so good at keeping it to himself that he probably didn't do too many press events depending on his health, on purpose. Him mentioning his father passing from cancer always got me ;_;

Not only did he have the most amazing voice. He was articulate, intelligent, thoughtful, well-rounded and an extraordinary actor (not to mention gorgeous and just too sexy for words). He seems very grounded, no scandal, drama or neurosis. Everything I've read about him indicates he was kind and compassionate as well. One of a kind, a true gentleman. His passing still stings. RIP❤️

It is a crying shame Alan Rickman is dead. I am not well acquainted with his acting career but I have watched interviews like this one as well as video segments of him in the Harry Potter movies. His voice is beautiful. His life was cut waaaayyyy tooooo short. He is a handsome British gentleman - soooo cooool! I love the British!

I would reccomend Dogma and... he did a more recent independent film, I'm sure you could find it on PBS because that is where I saw it but the name escapes me. I think it may have been one of the last films he made. It's sort of inscrutible and uncomfortable but wow he is such a nuanced actor.

This, his voice and voices like his, the deep, soft-spoken, intentional speech is my ASMR trigger (Rain/storms are as well). The whispering ones drive me up a frikken wall. SO not relaxing. But this, wow THIS is perfect. Another great one is Neil Tysson Degrassi. I could listen to him lecture in complete and total bliss for hours.

Gosh… It’s 2022, on January 14th will be the 6th anniversary of him passing away. I could never imagine that the death of someone so far away from me would hurt so much. But it is. Here I am, watching this interview and can’t stop my tears. It still aches very, very much. Alan is so unique, and will be. He will always be missed 💔

My fantasy concerning Alan Rickman (okay, the G-rated one) is him sitting beside my bed reading some classic book to me until I fall asleep. Then he crawls into bed & we spoon until he falls asleep, too. And . . . that’s where things become “for mature audiences only.” I’m crushed Rickman is gone, but he’s out there on film in perpetuity & that’s a gift which keeps on giving.
