Not only did he have the most amazing voice. He was articulate, intelligent, thoughtful, well-rounded and an extraordinary actor (not to mention gorgeous and just too sexy for words). He seems very grounded, no scandal, drama or neurosis. Everything I've read about him indicates he was kind and compassionate as well. One of a kind, a true gentleman. His passing still stings. It is a crying shame Alan Rickman is dead. I am not well acquainted with his acting career but I have watched interviews like this one as well as video segments of him in the Harry Potter movies. I would reccomend Dogma and... he did a more recent independent film, I'm sure you could find it on PBS because that is where I saw it but the name escapes me. I think it may have been one of the last films he made. It's sort of inscrutible and uncomfortable but wow he is such a nuanced actor.
