Very nice bug balm bars! 4th of July my family was outside playing and I grabbed a tiny spray bottle, added added a few drops tea tree oil eo, lemon grass eo and one trendy drop polysorbate 80 along with distilled water and sprayed everyone down. Worked great! But the anti big bars are a wonderful idea! Love it!

Hi Patrick, where did you buy your trivets? Thanks for another great video to get rid of those pesky Texas mosquitoes! :-)

I love this. I'll have to make some for my family and for when we travel South. We rarely have mosquitoes in Victoria. I used to get eaten alive in Idaho.

Oh I know what you mean, I was visiting Idaho a few years back on a river excursion and was eaten alive

I have been watching your videos for a while. What I love about your vids besides the info and ideas is that you sound a lot like bob ross just the soup version. Happy little soaps lol. Keep up the great vids and soothing voice 😁

You are so kind, isn't it funny, I hear my voice and I feel like I sound like a knucklehead, so I really appreciate your kind words. Happy Little Soaps for sure ;)

Thank you for such a kind and generous offer. Being in a different county, I think postage would be very high so if you don't mind, I will adapt your recipe that you have shared.

I live in Manitoba Canada and the mosquitoes are horrible. I also live on a river with overland flooding every spring. The only thing that has worked for me is the doTerra terra shield en guard essential oil blend. Works amazingly well!! I live in a place where you get 100's of bites just walking to the car. Hope yours works great for you. I may just test it out.

proudmamamooseof3 oh my goodness, sounds like you have a much more serious problem. Funny how your perspective can change when compared to others. I know you have a lot of beauty there, so you take the good with the bad. Hope you have bite free summer ahead.

Nice! I'll have to try this. We live in Texas and the mosquitoes are the size of a small dog. 🙄

Could you please state how much of each essential oil to use?
@SoapyOaksFarm6 жыл бұрын
Christine Colton hello and welcome. I suggest a site like eocalc.com to find safe usage rates of essential oils. In this recipe I used 25 drops of each. I hope you find this helpful.

Try it with citronella oil. That's what I use and I live in the Caribbean where there are mosquitoes

Sally Nedd hi there. Yes indeed, I have it growing here, but I am sensitive to it in my skin 😣, but do use in my smaller barns to repel them. How great you are in the Caribbean, nice to meet you.

Soap School great point Sarah, as I have met more folks in this industry, I have learned many folks share these sensitivities. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
