In the late 40's, Red Rocks Ampitheater had various music venues from the big band sound to classical, country, small ensembles one summer. I had the fun of playing with a group there. At that time, you didn't need all the electric stuff, the acoustics were perfect. You could hear everything from the highest back row. Thanks for bringing back that memory.

Mice are very creative in getting into the tightest spaces, I still haven't figured out how one got in my old trailer when I was in it . I knew where it was going and why, it would crawl under the 1/2" gap under my pantry door and steal my snacks. I put glue traps on the floor of the inside of the pantry and had it within a day. A dab of peanut butter in the middle of the trap gets them every time.

After having a flat that ripped the lining out. We did realize it, went out in the woods with a lot of chipmunks/squirrels. One climbed up on the tire a found the only hole it could get in. But when we got down the road it had left, after it ate some bread and left dropping. Had to clean my cabinets to clean all his droppings and stuff. Got some stuff to fill the hold and taped over it in hopes it doesn’t allow any more evaders.

Ha, I am the mouse exterminator in our RV. We had on once in our trailer while camping. We noticed a candy bar partly eaten. We use peanut butter in a plastic house humane live trap. Peanut butter works great. (I do use sticky pads for spiders and crickets in our actual house.) During the off season we put cotton balls with peppermint oil on them strategically around the travel trailer. It works well.

We've been out RVing too and finally having a chance to catch up on my KZbin favorites. Awesome job covering the Famcamp, the Thunderbirds, and I love the music you chose to play throughout the video. Tara, I hate mice in the camper too!! Hate them hate them! Mostly because of the damage they do and the mess they leave. Yuck. But yeah, I use regular quick kill mousetraps and not so much while camping, but always while home, we have a string of lights that we lay on the ground as a deterrent too. Chad, we've been at Mayport Naval Base, Pelican Roost Famcamp in Jacksonville, FL for the past week--departing tomorrow. Ever been? It's out third time here and it's a great place.

We lived in Colorado Springs for five years and enjoyed going to Manitou and Garden of the Gods many times. The penny arcade has always been a favorite of our kids coming out for vacation years ago, and now our grandkids love going there too. We are fulltime in our fifth-wheel now, and have had a few mouse encounters ourselves. Last summer someone told us about spraying PineSol on the ground around the perimeter of the RV. We did that, and also added one of the five gallon bucket tipping style of mouse trap. Did not have a mouse inside all summer. We have also stayed at the famcamp on the Academy when our daughter and her husband lived on post. Wonderful campground!

If you get another mouse and don’t want to kill it, put some of Daisy’s kibble in a 5 gallon bucket and lean some sort of ramp, so the mouse can climb in. They love kibble and won’t be able to climb the inside walls of the bucket. You’ll hear it try to climb out and can take it outside and let it out in the woods.

My family and I used to live at Fort Carson. The husband was in the military. We went to seven Falls during Christmas and there was snow ice. I got to the top of the Falls and I couldn’t come back down. I was terrified. There was an older gentleman that was behind us that helped me down. I had to walk backwards all the way down those stairs while that man held my hands. The husband was very angry, but everybody else they were so kind about it. I was so thankful for that. 🤣 Colorado is very beautiful.

Seven falls is worth it, but it is ridiculously confusing to get to if searching on the map apps. Grab the shuttle address from the Seven Falls website instead. It takes you to a parking lot by an Equestrian Center at the base of the mountains. It’s not close to the Broadmoor and that makes it extra confusing. I was cracking up when the map app took you up Gold Camp rd. It was seriously going to have you hiking over the mountain 😂

I won't give you any heat for the sticky trap. I learned that lesson the hard way a couple of decades ago. A friend's house what simply overrun with mice. One got caught in a sticky trap and started squealing. By the time we got over to the trap it had died of an apparent heart attack.. That's when I decided that snap traps are the most humane as they dispatch the critter immediately. Sorry you guys had to learn the hard way. Keep the good stuff coming guys.

So the school system I taught in used those "humane" traps. A mouse was caught by one of these traps in my teaching partner's room. The poor thing was squealing and I had a hissy fit. I took the mouse and trap. I used gloves and fingernail polish remover to remove the mouse from the trap. I did this in the field outside the school building. I was able to release the mouse and he went running into the field. Needless to say, I was the teacher hero for the day. I totally agree, those stickly traps are not humane!! Also, I appreciate you highlighting a military family camp. Retired army here.

Your tire/brake issue is a learning experience. I could use another word, but I won't. I recently learned the spare on my F350 SRW is only 18", while the truck wheels are 20". I'd like your thoughts of how you'd handle a flat while pulling. Leave the 5er, get it fixed and return. Put 18" on steering axle (20" on drive) and pull 5er to get truck fixed. Maybe no more that 20 miles.

I know that you know - NEVER trust a GPS. We were on the way to Big Meadows campground in Shenandoah NP and it took us to Park Road. Sounds good, right? NO! It was a dead end near the top of the mountain at a locked gate within yards of the campground. A nightmare scenario with a long bed dually and a 5th wheel. Luckily, our RV is 33', not your size. There was a parking lot and I was able to pull foward and backward, from 12 o'clock high to 6 o'clock low to head back down the road. A valuable lession learned.
