I earn approximately 15 to 20 k per month and have 4 mouths to feed, plus our 2 kids' annual and monthly college fees, their private tuition fees, dresses, transportation etc etc. So it doesn't matter for people like me even if they raise the IT floor to 12L. But my main concern is that they might raise GST and other sales taxes that we have to pay on every single item that we need to purchase for daily usage and consumption. Im not asking for feebies here but a respite from the consistently rising tax rates on consumer items.

Smart government 😆 handling us very well...I will definitely say this budget is more beneficial for government rather than so called middle class people... because more tax will collect from indirect tax system GST in future.. product price will going to increase.. these rich middle class people will buy a lot of products because they escape from direct tax so they have more buying capacity now than before..They will spend more and make products price high or inflation the price. The real middle class will suffer a lot.. so being rich in the country is a safe option.. I believe they will use our tax amount for our future, but present also notable so increases job opportunities to youngest this is an important duty of an government to ensure the all educated citizens get the job.The government should monitor these things, not only giving yearly budget to see the future of the country... 12 lakh per annum CTC is less than 1 lakh per month . This is a very common salary in the IT industry . Most individuals with 4-5 years of salary are earning over 1 lakh.

My father currently earns 40 LPA and mother earns 27 LPA. We are a family of four so consider ourselves middle class. We don't come in the upper middle class bracket because of the two dependent non-earning members. Look at the total economic strength and look at the population bro. We are 1/7th of the whole planet. Upper middle class and Rich are earning unbelievable money. I know what you are saying but these are the numbers. A family of two with 50 lakhs income is what qualifies you as an upper middle class in a tier 1 city.

If the income tax is around or below 8℅, would be ok without taxing citizens on everything. A marginal tax of around 3℅ or less on purchasing things would be still asking for too much after the income tax is paid. Taxing higher incomes reduces the drive for entrepreneurship. So uniform taxation for all improves the standard of living for all. But corrupt politics will always up the taxes & disguise cuts as incentives which are aimed at a certain few. Politicians are servants of the people, not lords. The people are the politicians bosses. I hope Indian democracy understands that. Then the people can dictate terms. Not the other way around.

This budget is a joke just like any other budgets. I am happy for the people for which it offers relief but nothing for the rest of us. The relief offered to us is so minuscule that it does not even matter in these times when the inflation is sky high. Nothing else has changed - the fuel costs are the same, the daily essentials quality has gone down and the prices have gone up, the gst and all the legion of taxes are all the same and they have same intensity with which they are applied now. In essence - it is the paid media or owned media of the corporates that are happy about this and some paid bots that are commenting that they are super happy about this. The FM is clearly incompetent and should resign. Why didn’t anyone listen to the voice of the greater public? The last time I checked this was still a democracy.
