One evening after a long day at work, I decided to take the road through the canyon while driving home. I tend to skip the freeway and take the route through the canyon every chance I get for two reasons. One, because I would rather drive slow on a road that has no traffic than be stuck on the freeway driving slow for no reason. And. Two, because this particular canyon just happens to have a double set of Union Pacific main tracks running parallel to the road. So, even if there is traffic in the canyon, at least I know the beautiful view will always come to life even more with a meandering metal monster at some point, and sometimes I get to see two! I had not seen anything yet and I had some time, so I stopped at a suitable location and parked the Fake Jeep just as the Sun was beginning to set. Rolled the driver's window down and turned the radio off. I sat and patiently listened. The sound of the breeze rustling the leaves in the trees that were turning yellow in the California Winter, the birds occasionally chirping at each other and the cars passing by on the road behind me, were oddly soothing. I began to clear my head from the day's events, and I started to relax. Off in the distance, I heard the echo of the horn from a West bound Union Pacific Freight! I made sure to wipe the lenses on my phone clean and hopped out of the Fake Jeep and fumbled my way up to perch myself upon a small hill to grab the action... and well, you're watching the rest. 😉 🐶Brutus and I truly hope that you enjoyed this FJDad presentation! Very nice later afternoon catch Mike. UP has the more colorful stack trains compared to BNSF it seems . Also i feel sorry for those folks waiting in traffic There was a probably a sigh of relief when they saw the end of that first train coming then.... hahaha. Keep up the good work brother.

@CalebA-sv2kw They do seem a bit more colorful indeed. 🤣 You noticed that line of cars getting longer and longer! By the end there were a ton of break lights piled up! 🤣🤣 Everybody on their way home that did not want to be bothered by the freights, then there was me. 🤪 🚂🤩 Thank you Caleb!
