A tracked motorcycle! 🏍That little yard looks like some tourist trap in the desert. Or some out of the way gas station you'd see in a movie, haha! 😂

That Mad Max graveyard is so cool man awesome find.! What type of gimbal you rocking with the wide angle, is it one of them DJI pockets by chance..? The museum tour was sweet as well you seen some good details there, to bad there wasn't anything like that around here that would be fun to check out in person..

I can still hear the screaming of the lambs,... I mean brakes... So jealous of you fancy guys with your drones when I can barely figure out the video settings on my cameras. As you're panning around, I'm like a kid in a candy store. OH look at that, Oh look over there!! If I had a drone, I'd be like a rabid weasel out there jumping from one train car to the next. 5:13 that parallax scrolling effect where things in the foreground seem to be scrolling by faster than things in the distance. A technique used in animation and video games to this day and it always looks awesome! 6:05 Uhhh.... What's going on with the Blue Man group down there? 11:22 ICH.... Seeing that reminds me, to remind you, to remind me, to bring out the blackbook. I forgot. Last minute and all... I've got some other stuff to show you. Some of these shots are so clean it looks like a model railroad. It's kind of surreal. 12:58 This could all be mounted on some sheets of 3/4" plywood . 17:41 JCUB & PHUN !! Nice. Is that the Lucky Charms leprechaun 19:31 Tell that idiot to shut up, I'm listening to and diagnosing the brake issues. 20:00 Weird looking back from the other side. I can see where we are but in reverse. 23:35 Foamer wallpaper worthy!! 28:28 The second caboose of the day. 28:59 another shot that looks like a model train shot filmed in your Uncle Jeff's basement. Actual trains look "hauntingly" real.

The Pinto and motorcycles are cool! Love train museums! I could never resist, stopping and looking at old steam locomotives that often times or fenced off in usually small towns. I for one really like seeing these train museums. One of my favorites is in Golden Colorado. There they have Galloping Goose, snow, plows ,engines and all kinds of rolling stock. They even have a bicycle converted to four wheels for traveling on the railroad track. Once again, Merry Christmas, Mike and Amy and your family.

@Fourwheeljive 😃 I am the same. Stopping to look at the history from days past is a huge interest of mine, trains and mines, gohst towns and museums etc. Steam power is awesome! I find our American history and heritage to be so fascinating. I sometimes wonder if I was born too late. Just at the end of the good old days, and right before the world went and got into a big hurry. 🤣 Thank you so much my dear friend. It has been a great day with our kids and grandkids. 12/21/24: My friend @SilenceSeven ("S7") and I went out on an extremely last-minute adventure last weekend on Saturday to see if we could find some new and possibly interesting locations that we've never scoped out before. We embarked on a journey that took us about an hour or so north of San Bernardino, CA to the Union Pacific yard in Yermo, CA. As soon as we pulled up to the tracks, you could see Johnny Yard Bull in his big white company truck headed our way. He went from parked to flying low towards us through the desert in a cloud of dust to get his jollies by kick us foamers out! 🤣 It was quite alright because as you can there was not much there at the time. After getting 86'd from Yermo, we made our way back south to scout out the BNSF Classification Yard in Barstow, CA. That video is here: I Flew My Drone Over the BNSF Classification Yard in the Mojave Desert! What Did I See? • I Flew My Drone Over the BNSF Classif... Before we made it to the BNSF yard, we ended up stopping at a few very interesting locations along the way that sparked our interest and curiosity. (Good thing we are not cats). This video is the pretty sweet spots that we found! As promised in the video here is the link to the BEEP: www.desertusa.com/dusablog/th... And a bit of history on the ATSF EMD 95: Santa Fe FP45 95, originally Santa Fe 105, debuted in December 1967 and served as a premier passenger locomotive on Santa Fe’s Los Angeles-Chicago streamliners. Renumbered to 5945 in 1970, it continued pulling transcontinental trains like the San Francisco Chief until Amtrak's creation. By 1971, it transitioned to freight service and was repainted in blue and yellow. In 1978, after a wreck, 5945 underwent significant rebuilding, with modifications including relocating the headlight. In 1981, it was rebuilt again, renumbered to the 5990-series in 1982, and later became a standout unit in the fleet. Notably, it retained unique paint schemes, avoiding the SPSF merger colors and receiving Santa Fe's Super fleet red and silver livery in 1990. It was renumbered multiple times, ultimately becoming ATSF 95. FP45 95 played roles in special trips, including assisting steam locomotive 3751 on a 1991 excursion. It even appeared in the 1993 movie Fatal Instinct. In its later years, it occasionally substituted for Amtrak on passenger trains. Despite retiring in late 1997 due to turbocharger issues, it was briefly repaired before suffering a cracked engine block in 1998. In 1999, FP45 95 was donated to the Western America Railroad Museum in Barstow, CA, where it remains on display alongside other historic locomotives and railcars. 🐶Brutus and I truly hope that you enjoyed this FJDad presentation!
