Come to San Francisco and get your car broken into and mugged by crime that is running unchecked. Good job Moms! The News is enough to dissuade people from coming to SF

When I moved to SF, everyone would mention how many times their car was broken into lol. I swear, I felt like everyone I talked to had their car broken into at least once which unfortunately is the norm in SF.

SMH, Y’all keep falling for the “Okie Doke”. This happened because The Mayor is not in fear of being VOTED OUT of her seat. There needs to be a strong mayoral candidate to run against her and the voters poll numbers to show We The People want change! “When you have leaders that encourage lawlessness, you get lawlessness. When you have leaders who are insane and deranged and putting in place deranged policies, you’re going to get deranged outcomes. This needs to stop it’s hurting everyone.” - Marco Rubio FL Senator

With open borders you get open drug markets coupled with lax laws, what do you expect? This was expected. I am embarrassed to take relatives into SF when they visit. It's quite shameful. Used to be proud not anymore. The drugs/homeless situation is very disheartening.

As I see it, part of the problem is that drug traffickers are allowed to sell drugs in broad daylight without any worry of arrest or accountability for their crime. The laws against drug traffickers are too lax. I am all for the death penalty for drug trafficking.

This is a supply and demand problem. Without eliminating the demand, supply will always be there to meet it. Our country has already gone through decades trying to be tough on drug users and pushers. It only ended up over crowding our prison system, while DOING NOTHING to curtail the on going addiction this country is still suffering from.

Sheeit. I live in the Bay and haven't been there for over twenty years. I used to really enjoy the city. Now I wouldn't go near there without a large, fast knife and a "don't you dare get close to me" expression on my face. I had to pull my knife the last time I was there , even with a large buddy from Cleveland who was laughingly shocked. He and I got hassled twice more that same day. Liberals destroyed that beautiful city many years ago. Tourist should wait until we have a few necessary civil uprisings and take the city back.

Decriminalizing drugs has its issues especially when there is no incentive to encourage rehabilitation. Instead SF has made open drug use legal and without consequence. Property crimes like car break ins and shoplifting is up as a direct result of drug addicts looking for stuff to sell to support their very expensive drug habits.

It’s not, and that’s because the money greasing our corrupted politicians isn’t coming from those who are suffering from reduced tourism, but it does serve a vital purpose, and that’s to show other residents that it’s ok, and actually very appropriate to call out our corrupted officials & their lack of care & concern, like London & her moronicness.

This needs a different approach. Seriously... approach the drug issue as if you were trying to take down Amazon, since the drug market works the same way. Items are shipped across long areas, sold in bulk, split up, shipped more, etc and in the end get to the consumer/user via the drug dealer or delivery driver... Drug dealers rely on logistics just as much as Amazon does. So, leaving the dealers alone to focus on the "big guys" is the opposite of what needs to be done, the small drug dealers are the heart of the operation. Go after them.. sure, they might get right out of jail, but harass them enough and eventually it just isn't worth it for small dealers to sell drugs in San Francisco. It doesn't matter how many drugs they smuggle into the city, without a distribution network of dealers, they are useless, this is how ALL commerce works, not sure why it is taking so long to figure that out, and why they keep doing the complete opposite and leave the dealers alone....this the the best thing we could do to help the drug dealers succeed. You can see that using Urban Alchemy to kick dealers out of specific areas does work..... but it is being done on too small of a scale, the dealers just go a block over. If the city seriously put resources into harassing the dealers... increase the area "patrolled" by Urban Alchemy, create a auxiliary police force that handles ONLY moving drug dealers out of the area. You don't have to arrest them. Harassing them and those coming to buy the drugs makes it very inconvenient to sell drugs at that location, make "that location" the entire city. The idea of using Urban Alchemy to do security and keep drug dealers out of certain areas is actually a GREAT IDEA, but it needs to be increased, massively, and we do have a LOT of out of work people that would gladly get paid to stand on a street corner daily and chase away drug dealers. Once that starts to happen, a lot of drug buyers will also avoid the area... increase police presence.... not by doing more arrests, but park squad cars with officers on the streets while they do paperwork and etc.. Nobody comes and buys drugs from a dealer when a cop car is sitting down the block... Many ways to do this but TARGET THE DEALERS!

it’s a bit more complicated, but not really. Having wide open boarders which has allowed ungodly amounts of the drugs & it’s traffickers to sell it freely about the City, and quite literally near a police station, certainly isn’t helping anybody excepts those involved with the profits from said drugs. That’s just for starters. Drugs & the death/destruction caused by them have never been in the bad before, even when the ‘war on drugs’ was failing miserably. Nope, this is about unchecked corruption & the players involved.

@@finkelsteinshitkid1299 Stop with the open borders narrative. You close the borders, they’ll find a way. Underground tunnels are already in place. When high profits from demands exist, supplies will come at any cost. Plus if you go all out after the pushers and give them stiff penalties, it’ll only overpopulate an already exhausted system where judges will force prisons to release harden criminals prematurely. We already have the highest prison population per capita among civilized countries
