Was this video made in 2023? I thought most of the stores had vacated the station and that there was a large homeless encampment outside of Union Station? Are there red caps? Is Starbucks still in the station and is Magnolia's still in business?

Lots of stores are empty. Starbucks closed about a year ago. I don't know about Magnolia's. However, you can go to their website to see what is currently open.

Are there still homeless there? The last video I saw on the place,the guy was literally stepping over homeless to get to his train.

Are there waiting areas for bus ticketed passengers? Is it okay to wait there during wee hours if you have a ticket? I have an Amtrak ticket from NY to DC then bus ticket from DC Union Station to NY. Should I get a hotel one night instead? I hate spending extra money though.
