The decision to lift wages for women and provide maternity leave? The decision to initiate and support the aged pension, unemployment benefits, and sickness benefits? The decision to initiate and support a national health system for every citizen, which, unlike the US, doesn't cause its citizens to live with constant anxiety and declare bankruptcy when their health insurance terminates? The 'decision' to oppose the privatisation of public utilities, essential services, and common property? The 'decision' to oppose the off shore of jobs by businesses who want cheaper labour despite credible economists pointing out that profit is still very much viable with the use of local workers? And broadly, are you referring to the 'decision' to oppose the Vietnam war, Iraq war, the Afghanistan war, which has led to the deaths of millions of people and left suffering and negative consequences even to this day? 🤔 Go to your local library and research what trade unions historically have done and the great sacrifice that men and women went through to bring about better quality of life for others. And if you're a 'religious' person, you might even discover that people of faith historically not only supported unionism for working people, some even lead unions. Lastly, have you noticed that big businesses and industries also unionise? They use terms like association, council, federation, guild, society, group, co-op, league, alliance, amalgamation, etc. If not, that's in the local library too! 🤔

All of these politicians pay rate should reflect on how good of a job they are or are not doing so if they are running the country into the ground their pays should be docked accordingly. That is the only way to truly change anything because none of these politicians care about anything past their 4 years in power so if they know they have no chance of winning the next election they will just go on a crazy spending spree lining their friends and families pockets with money before they are given the boot like you can see is going on right now with labour. Our political system needs an overhaul bad, no politician should be getting rich while the people in the country they are supposed to be serving have had 7 or 8 quarters of per capita recession.
