UNIQLO Raw Selvage Jeans - After ONE YEAR!

I have a question. The selvedged jeans that uniqlo sells at the moment HAVE stretch. From what I remember their older raw Jean's DID NOT have a stretch

In my country, they do offer the 100% cotton pairs but only in regular fit while the slim straight pairs are stretch selvedge (98% cotton and 2% elastane).

Raw denim as i understand it shouldn't be washed for at least 6month's in order for it to form to your unique shape. To freshen them up you only need to turn them inside out and hang them out in fresh air.

Hygiene > individuality like just wash your jeans. Don't listen to those denim aficionados that see jeans as a holy grail and minimize wash. Wear and clean them normally and after a couple of months, the jeans should have already had a unique personal fading.

Raiterio Patterson You sir are wrong. You cuff them so the indigo don't bleed out on your shoes. It's not just to show that they're selvedge. Selvedge is just denim made on shuttle looms.

Honestly I worked in a jean shop, and they said to never wash your jeans. To put them in the freezer. Kinda weird I know, but what I do is I wash them in cold water, also never put in dryer.

Cheapest pair of selvedge denim in the market . The only thing I hate about that model is zipper fly , and the fit . They say “straight fit” but they fit super skinny . Not everyone likes skin tight pants .

They look rubbish! Like old man jeans, no masculine fit, straight leg cut, They instantly looked like cheap denim to me and i am a major uniqlo fan. i would never buy there selvedge denim it's practically not "proper" selvedge standard

Sorry to hear that you don't like them, Ben! I think that the more relaxed look may actually be more masculine than tight jeans, but to each their own. They have held up great and are at the very least "satisfactory".
