Such cute names! Just a heads up on the Irish name Aiofe, it is meant to be pronounced ee-fuh. We didn't learn the correct pronunciation until a little later and had already fallen in love with pronouncing it A-fuh (like ava but an f sound). Our daughter is now Aefe 🥰 Congratulations and best of luck these last couple of months!

I hardly ever run into women close to my age named Ashton, so I think it’s a pretty cool name 😎 Very cute name list! I totally agree with the syllable thing for names, that was a factor in naming our boy Seamus Wilder (one syllable last name). I also like thinking about nicknames and he also goes by Shay (love it 🩵). I’ve heard so many people say that you can’t know your baby’s name until their born and it’s “fits” them, but we only went to the hospital with one standout name among the rest for a boy and there was no way he could be anything else 😂 and it does fit him perfectly, I get compliments all the time on his cool name ☺️

I almost named my daughter Romy too! How funny! Although we chose not to use that name because we both forgot what it was on occasion. We’d say “what was that girl name we really liked?” And took it as a sign that other people might have trouble remembering it. But I still really like it. We went with Marlowe instead. I’m a name consultant on the side and even I broke some of the name “rules” (the names were all 2 syllables) because I was honoring my late father David with the middle name and we couldn’t agree on a first name that wasn’t 2 syllables. I’m pregnant again and I’m adding one more “rule” for this baby. No uncommon names that sound like common names. My son’s name is rare, Eisen, pronounced like i-zen. I didn’t anticipate people thinking we were saying Isaac or Ivan. I like the name Lowen, but it sounds way too much like the more popular Owen. Just curious, with Aliya, do people ever think it’s Leah? Like you’re saying “uh, Leah”? Because a lot of people say “uh” before answering a question (“what’s your name?”). I like a lot of A- names like the name Amaya but I’m worried people will think it’s just Maya because “uh, Maya.”
