Hi Jon.. great video. UNIQUE and FILTER are like magic.. no more wacky array formulas with CSE. Although they were fun to master, you can't beat the new functions for getting real work done. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and techniques.. much appreciated. Thumbs up for Excel Campus!

Thanks Jon. Great work... The Unique and the filter formulas are the best in Excel.

This video had me at "Dunder Mifflin Attendance Report". I wonder if Dwight gave Jim any Demerits or if Jim gave Dwight any Full Disadulations. Anyway, thanks for the great video, Jon!

Lets that the array contains both text and values in different columns, is there a way to do a product for each value in the value columns with a number outside the array?

Hello I am using excel 2019 student version. It came bundled with my laptop. Is there a way I can access these dynamic functions ?

Hello Jon: I got so excited about this Excel Campus Tutorial... so excited, only to find out that UNIQUE & FILTER are not available to me using my Office 365 Pro subscription as of January 2020. That being said it was a great carrot to dangle in front of all of us. Do you have any estimate for release data of Unique & Filter, I guess the same goes for Xlookup? Indeed a great presentation.
@NO18084 жыл бұрын
The UNIQUE & FILTER & XLOOKUP functions are currently only part of the Office 365 Insider Edition. If you log in with your Office 365 in the Insider (Fast) program, you can already use the newer functions.

Hi Gary, Yeah sorry about that. The Dynamic Array functions are slowly being rolled out to users on the Monthly Channel of Office 365. Here is a tweet from Joe McDaid (Microsoft employee) about it. twitter.com/jjmcdaid/status/1199441292989587456 I don't believe they have a target date for the full roll out to everyone yet. As Nico mentioned, you can get the Dynamic Arrays now if you are on the Insiders Fast Channel. I do have some info on the following post about how to get on the Insiders program. It's free. www.excelcampus.com/functions/dynamic-array-formulas-spill-ranges/ I hope that helps. And I hope you get the update soon.

Does anyone knows how to create a macro that Searches entire Workbook and returns all Records which match a certain value from a drop down list? One to many or many to many relationship! e.g. if we have a list of many large organization in a worksheet and have a list of all of their employee, first name, last name, phone, email, title,..... ( many per organization) in another worksheet. How one can see the records of all employees in an organization by selecting the organization's name from a list or drop down box, etc. I would appreciate if your insights.

Hey, it's a great tutorial but don't you think it is easier to user VLOOKUP formula?

Wow, awesome!! Is there any way to count unique values from a set of data (with UNIQUE function), while applying one or more logical criteria from other columns?

I got so excited when you started this video, hoping Microsoft had finally released dynamic arrays after dangling that carrot in front of our noses but still no joy. It’s becoming really annoying and I wonder why the heck to I pay for 365 if no interesting updates get released? So that I can create animated gifs in PowerPoint??? You should have mentioned that right now only 365 Insiders can use the functions you use. I know I could become one but I teach Excel and my Office has to be both stable and exactly like the ones my students use.

Unique function is not included in my excel 2019, Kindly guide me how to add this function.

The UNIQUE function is currently only included in the Office 365 Insider Edition.

Hi Imran, These functions will not be made available on Office 2019. They will only be available on Office 365. Office 365 will always have the latest updates and features. Office 2019 is mostly for organizations that do not want updates to Office. I know it can be confusing and I'll do a video on this in the future. I hope that helps. Thanks again and have a nice day! 🙂
