Girl, the CHOKEHOLD that Poets of Berlin has on me… You have no idea. So I said I wouldn’t buy anymore cos’ i’m saving for my wedding and all, but I just couldn’t help myself lmao 🤣 For those based in the US/UK: Floral Street’s Wild Vanilla Orchid is an almost direct dupe of it, for a fraction of the price!! I only got Poets cos’ I can’t get Floral Street shipped to where I live lol.

Guidance is beyond beauty. There is something in Guidance that reminds me of Signature by Montblanc without the citrusy notes, they do not smell the same though. Considering purchasing a bottle.

I just got a sample of Guidance and I am also ~beguiled~ in the best way. I wore it for Mother’s Day, washed the shirt I was wearing and it STILL smells like Guidance. It’s performance is utterly insane

I just subscribed! I am new in the fragrance world and I am definitely entranced. I had about 8 fragrances in my cabinet and in the last month I bought 17 new fragrances (mostly samples). Like I said entranced. My very favorites are Montagne Parfum De Cerise, EBK DND Yacht, Kajal Lamar, Tocca Collette, PDM Delina, PDM Herod and my first blind buy Micallef Ylang in Gold. Thank you so much for the information you provide. You are so pretty and I love your humor. And your reviews are my fav. I haven't even subscribed to any other perfume reviewer. My goal is no new purchases until fall - I have it narrowed to 5 Vanilla fragrances. LOL. I think I'm driving my hubby & kids crazy LOL, making them smell so many😂

Poets of Berlin was my first niche perfume. The sweetness is beautiful but it’s the greenery of bamboo and vetiver that keep it grounded and different. I’ve been stopped at markets but ladies asking what I’m wearing, very unique

I have banned myself from blind buying poets of Berlin before I try my sample but girl when I tell you I am so curious and its warmer so I will be testing it asap. I think if you did a gateway to blueberry video it would be do well as you are the one person who is always raving about that note!

I don't know when the last time was that you did a video letting people know about the various discount fragrance websites.. but that would be helpful to let people know that you can get most of the fragrances mentioned in your videos at a 30%-50% discount. I can't tell you how many times I see comments on fragrance videos saying "I would love to get a niche or luxury fragrance but I can't afford to spend $300/$400 on a bottle of perfume". The Decant Websites are also a good way to get 5ml or 10ml "travel sprays" of niche/luxury fragrances for $30-$45. I have far more 10ml "travel sprays" in my collection than full sized bottles becuase they are so "cheap" compared to spending $150+ on a full sized bottle. Have a nice Sunday evening ✨🌛

@@AnneLauren Good to know. I think it's worth repeating several times becuase people forget or they don't quite understand how to get them. And some people wonder if what those websites are selling is authentic or fake.. I know I did. I had to watch a dedicated video on the subject before I felt comfortable enough purchasing a full bottle. My very first full bottle purchase @ 50% off was Creed's "Aqua Fiorentina" which smells exactly like Dolce and Gabbana "Light Blue" but it last 4x as long. 🙄🦋

For unique citrus fragrances, I really like Mandarine Basilic Forte. It feels like more than just a cleaning product. Love it for warm weather, but it also layers really well in the winter with fragrances like Raised Spirits. I find the longevity to be pretty good for citrus too. You always convince me to revisit fragrances I didn’t like. I’ve tried Poets of Berlin like 3 times now and not liked it, but your tantalizing description had me check it out again, and I actually like it! Maybe it’s the warm weather outside.

Unique citrus: Still Life in Rio by Olfactive Studio. It’s a exotic spicy citrus scent with a very cologne like base. Smells like a citrus ginger cocktail on vacation. Great for stupid high heat.

I don’t understand why they have to put vanilla and or patchouli in like 90% of fragrances. It’s a real bummer for me because those notes do not usually work well on me at all. Vanilla dominates like crazy on my skin and it kind of ruins my love of baked goods.

Hey Anne. Have you tried anything from a house called Maya Njie? They have some fantastic woodsy scents, my favorite being Vanilj, a woodsy cardamom and vanilla scent. Highly recommended.

My most unique and also most complimented is by Prada’s private line prada infusion d'amande. It’s an almond fragrance and I haven’t smelled any other fragrance like it. It smells similar to L’Occataine almond shower oil and the body oil. Which I love that scent so much and this fragrance is long lasting. It’s so beautiful

I have! It's very similar to Fleur Narcotique but I prefer FN more. I really loved the opening of Valaya. Pretty, fresh, clean, bright, fruity, floral while being elegant. But the dry down is very musky and aldehydic. Too soapy clean for me, it becomes much more floral and loses that hint of fruity sweetness.
