As a schoolboy I sang in the choir behind the Halle Orchestra, circa 1960. The memory is still fresh in my mind.

Just discovered your fantastic channel, guys! I've lived in or near Bradford all my life. I'm 71 now and really enjoying finding out things I didn't know. I saw Emerson Lake and Palmer there twice back in the day and, although I've been many times since then, I still associate the place with them.

Been watching the channel for a while now. It just gets better and better. The Trafalgar video was awesome. In addition to commenting on Bradfords elites you never forget those less fortunate. Always sticking up for the under dog! Keep up the fantastic channel lads. Perhaps you. could do a video on your part in Bradfords history?

My uncle was head doorman here back in the day. I got to see some great heavy rock bands. I saw my first gig when I was 11, Girlschool. I remember I was on the floor and couldn't see, so some rocker put me on his shoulders. I saw UFO, Thin Lizzy, MSG, Gillan, Saxon and my ultimate, Iron Maiden in 1982. I actually got to meet them after the show all thanks to my uncle Steve.

Great building. Many of my older family members saw bands such as Free, Mott the Hoople, Yes, Genesis with Peter Gabriel, ELP, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and many many more. The acoustics are top class. It has recently been refurbished, it deserves better bookings than what has been booked in recent years. Just finished watching the video, excellent with great content.

Very interesting video, I didn’t realize the building was so old. We saw the Everly brothers, Duane Eddy, Hank Marvin and Brian Bennett there. It was good to see what the acts see when on stage.

That was interesting, been in there so many times for gigs, sadly they dwindled out which is the fault of the booking agent who should have kept bringing bands back. Nowadays we have to travel to other cities to see bands when they could be booked to play here in a better historic venue. Maybe an update vlog on the Odeon would be great. Thanks.

Have the Halle Orchestra returned? I never experienced such a memorable concert than their performance of Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony at St George’s in the early ‘80’s. The acoustics were phenomenal…
