Super cool board. I use the same looper on my rig. My board is 3 shelves that open like a tackle box for use and folds into a rectangle that fits perfectly in the topcase of my '84 Honda Goldwing.

Hey! I’m curious, why you aren’t just running your vocals and stuff out of separate sub outputs from the boss RC-600 for an isolated tracks?

i have all of the vocal processing like eq, reverb and delay happening within the unit. mixing everything to one output was just simple and convenient i have a separated output for big stages and a sound tech, but saving inputs on the flow8 was important for the bands i play with plans for my next build include a separate vocal chain

@@kevinsingssongs gotcha. I don’t give the sound man any control except for over my overall volume. Then I dial In everything from my Boss RC-600. I use the phones output as my in ear monitors mix, but I recently have been toying with the idea of having a mixer to run separate tracks for Vocals, guitar, drum pad, click for more control of my in ear mix. Your video gave me ideas! Thanks so much for the response.

@thechristinedemeo unfortunately, you cannot separate tracks out of a loop once something is recorded, so separate mixes only work if you have specific tracks for each instrument that never change I would always recommend making accommodations for sound techs. if you are playing in a big enough room or stage that can afford them, it's better to have them sculpt your sound for the room, and the specific system

@@kevinsingssongs oh I’ve got instruments separated into isolated tracks on my sub output but the loop is obviously can’t be have tracks separated. It just gets its own sub output. I do this to record my shows and have better audio. Hopefully that make sense. Most venues I play I bring my own PA and for the ones where I play big stages I have things worked out in a way where it’s super easy to mix. Probably too hard to explain in text. lol.

Hey Kevin, great video! I've opted to go for the HX Stomp to use alongside my RC-600 and have a quick question for you. It looks like you're utilising the L&R outputs on your Stomp, so are you running into the RC-600 in stereo and then back out of the RC main outs to 2 separate channels on your Flow 8? Cheers, Ross

Hey there- i currently have the LR channels on the hx stomp running as mono signals for separate chains. the rc600 is also set to mono to me, stereo effects don't seem as useful in live environments. it's something i'll be experimenting with in the future though

Hey Kevin, quick question - what kind of converters have you used to run from the IEC to the RC-600 and the Flow 8? Cheers, Ross

hey ross! great to hear from you again, love your channel bro i have a simple IEC splitter that has a traditional wall outlet on one side, IEC on the other running to my Cioks DC7 (which powers all my pedals and rc600

@kevinsingssongs spot on! Cheers, Kevin. I thought that might be the case, but wanted to double-check. I'm looking at building a board at some point soon, incorporating a mixer into the setup (Mackie ProFX6v3), and the DC7 won't be enough to power it, so need to split the power. Thanks for your help, as always!

@RossGallagherMusic yeah I'm actually building another board with a Allen and Heath CQ 12 as the mixer. Super power-hungry. cioks crux is a potential solution, but $70, you can get a simple iec splitter for $10 and it will solve just about any issue

Ahhh man, that sounds awesome! I look forward to seeing that when you get it all complete. Yeah, I thought about the Crux, but couldn't justify the cost. Much easier on the pocket to just do it your way. Thanks again!

@RossGallagherMusic exactly, plus you can split the standard power into more usable outlets, usb power hubs, installing a power conditioner on the board is useful as well
