Unique Paranoid Delusion Tested on All Classes! - High Single Target Damage Companion! - Neverwinter

Last patch the Paranoid Delusion Companion got updated! Rebalanced to single target only and so got a bit of a buff on some classes! Additionally it will now properly work on the Bard Class. The very special thing about this companion is that it mimics the player using it, copies their visuals and attacks with a power from the certain class of the player! It is really cool and special but also super rare in game at the moment! Here I cover my test results and give it a bit of a showcase!

Idk which class you are but for CW, Ive been doing mdwp with them yesterday and arti calls seem the same burst output which is nice. It's just visually different. Instead of three doing flurry of attacks, your getting one doing the same amount of damage but in three or so attacks

@@larsharsch9786 CW: control wizard. It's the original name that was given to the class. Most refer to the old names. Here are some of the old names Fighter: guardian fighter (gf) Wizard: control wizard (CW) Barbarian: great weapon fighter (GWF) Rogue: tricker rogue (TR) Ranger: hunter ranger (hr) Warlock: scourge warlock (SW) Might've missed some but those are the most commonly used references

When I started playing the game I got him on my paladin didn't know I will make more characters but I still use him for fashion 😎

Well, I honestly don't feel like they did a great job with that. In fact, by removing the multi-hit, they nerfed the PD for the Warlock, the Wizard and the Bard. At least before it could be useful for certain situations with those classes. In the end it is always the top ST companion for the Ranger and the Rogue, as it was before, and for the others it is just a very expensive fashion pet.

It seems to me that Captain sartell and Vistani wanderer are better at DPS companions because of buffing the team, I will be using one of these.

I don't think I'm much interested anymore in having my builds broken every update, my weapon set not only nerfed but even the visuals taken away, adventure zones that have things I want but nobody in them to work along side scrounging for loose microcurrencies in the gutters, disconnecting every time my queue group enters a dungeon and I literally miss half the fight ensuring I don't get any drops from the end chess, and my character not even being able to freaking walk anymore if I press keys too fast, and things I spent alot of AD on becoming as common as weeds, and as soon as I get to 80k item level I'm surrounded by 100k toons that hop around melting everything. Maybe I'm just not aware of all the FUN going on all around me. I guess I'm blind to it.

For me it's just cosmetic thing to flex about old game status for your character. Cool that can do some great damage on top positions in the list , but no valuable to buy. Anyway, great job. Thx for testing

This companion's second attack still causes AoE damage. An attack that deals damage around it with an attached CC effect....they'll need to change that if they want it to be a pure ST companion.

It has good damage and a very cool cosmetic side, but it is very annoying that in between fights, this companion makes you stay in combat for about 2-3 seconds more than any other companion, so u cant mount as fast.

Hindering strike on ranger and warden sooooooooo broken. Works 50% of time other 50% no damage no root and puts it on cd

The balancing is kind of joke to me. Because when you do your tests and you compare damage you don't account for the extra damage that you do from say granting combat advantage. Like with the psudodragon or black death scorpion. Some do a debuff like succubus, spine devil so they should do more. Some are just supposed to hit hard or hit many targets like xuna, Regis, cold iron warrior. Yet those are the ones that get nerfed.

The test is not to show what they can give you in added damage but what there base damage is.

The misunderstanding is that they have nerfed so many straight damage companions into the dirt. That a support companion is now tops in dps. Thats like having a pally heals out dps a rouge or wizard. That all im saying

Sad that people think skins is a flex. I guess when youve got everything, its inevitable. Look at me, Look at me. I saw a guy the other week, fighter build. Around 30k. He was terrible, which mormally doesnt peak my interest, but i looked at his toon because he'd clearly spent alot of time putting on colours and illusions etc. Which kinda made me sad 😞 If hed spent just a feaction of time learning how to play, rather than how to look, he'd enjoy the game more 👍 I can't express how unimpressed I am with my greenscale bowman, he might have been my 3rd or 4th to put on Mythic.
