I can't get enough of these videos. I wish I could trade my office job and city house for a simpler life like hers. I don't mean that in an offensive way either. She puts so much care and effort into her work. Imagine living there, you'd never be bored. There's always work that needs to be done. I think it's a little ironic because I'm sure a lot of people who do hard labor all day wish they could trade for an office job and a house in suburbia. Not me. I grew up in nature, and I want to go back.
@Stevie374 жыл бұрын
I was the first generation of my family to not grow up on a farm, but that doesn't mean my grandparents didn't put me to work whenever we went to visit! They lived just outside of town, so we'd visit several times a week and I have fond memories of the work I did in my grandfather's orchard and vineyard and my grandmother's big garden. After many years of saving, my husband and I just bought a house with 2 acres and whenever we tell any of our city friends how much land we have, they freak out. My country friends understand that 2 acres isn't enough to do everything we wanted. We're very happy with it, though! Can't wait until early spring, we moved too late and missed planting dates for autumn crops here.
@jessicastephens2624 жыл бұрын
@@Stevie37 hard work feels very rewarding. Especially when you get to use and eat the things you grew or made. I am growing tomatoes and basil at my city home and I so appreciate handmade items. Thank you so, so much for your videos. Not only they are exquisitely filmed, but also very soothing. This one hit close to home! I remember being a young girl and sitting on my great grandmother's lap, hearing all about what she did while she was young and she lived in rural Mexico. She used to do pottery as well, and she often did toys for her children (since they couldn't afford to buy them). As I was watching this video, I imagined all the contrasts between China and Mexico, trying to picture my great grandmother. It makes me extremely emotional to see that no matter the distance, we human beings are the same at our core! Isn't it amazing, how we are all connected? So sorry this comment is kind of silly, I can't really express the emotions that these kind of videos bring to me! It just feels like home. Again, thank you!
