Unique triangular-shaped ESCO/Otis scenic elevator - NC Museum of Art E. Bldg. - Raleigh

UPDATE 12/28/2016: This elevator is very sadly in the process of being modernized by Otis withfixtures.
This is a very unique triangle-shaped scenic elevator in this museum. The elevator is kind of like a piece of art. It even has security sensors on the windows. But that's probably for if someone tries to break into the museum by the elevator from the outside. This also has an EPIC motor. Too bad I talked over it though. And even worse I can't do a re-take. I find it interesting how this has GAL RWB fixtures and is an ESCO rather than an actual Otis with their fixtures, as this doesn't seem like a cheap budget install.

Well you can’t know for sure when an elevator was installed just by seeing a similar elevator. Unless if you know the building was built around the same time.

Why did they put the star on floor "B" even though the main level is floor "A"?

You know what, I have no idea. It’s like that on all of the elevators in the building. It’s even the main level on the newest elevator in the building, the Schindler 330A.

Is this elevator from the late 70's or early 80's? I've seen on other KZbin videos of other elevators on this place and said that it was installed in 1978. I'm not really sure.

They're from the late 70s, early 80's, not exactly sure what year though. I'm the only 1 who has filmed this 1, but I, & JimLi has filmed the rest.

Elevating Western PA Productions The museum was built in the late 70's so this is a 70's Otis!

70s brutal architecture all around. Definitely seems about right. But unfortunately Otis has since ruined this elevator though (completely modernized).
