Nice repair! If possible I would have put the screw a bit deeper in and filled it over with wood putty flush to the bridge top to hide it and leave it in. Best of both worlds.

Faithful service rendered for a future music maker. The screw adds mass to the bridge and theoretically would affect its movement and thus its acoustic behavior, but in my experiments adding weights to a bridge (attaching coins) it’s almost certainly not discernible (you didn’t mention if you decided to leave it in or not). It’s interesting to me that the bridge appears very close to the plate bar on the other side (C# side). I have an Ibach in which case this exact same spot was touching. I can’t imagine that it’s supposed to touch, because that would directly impede the movement. I basically sawed a half millimeter off at that spot by inserting sandpaper in order to set it free.
