Thank you! The Mackinac Bridge used to be the longest suspension bridge in the world and some people are still nervous to drive across it. We absolutely love going across every chance we get. I'm excited to share next week's video with all the fall colors. Stay tuned!!!

Awww, that's so good to hear. Thanks so much! We almost built our own teardrop. We even bought the trailer and mattress so we could get started and then we decided it was going to take longer than we wanted it to to build. So we bought one instead. We'd love to see your teardrop. Post a pic of it on our Facebook page! facebook.com/TakeATripTogether

I have the same problem with jeans. I tend to keep them well past their usefulness 😉. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Shelley and both love the photographs of the bridge. We can not wait to see the fall colors. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels

I liked this comment "If there is a scenic view, you are probably going uphill". That is very true most of the time! Those seagulls sure can be pesky, I have had them swam me before by Lake Superior as well. And now I totally understand why you had a 'cold spot' from sitting down! LOL. I have never really explored that part of the US. But hopefully sometime soon. Take care ~ Anita

Sounds like a natural way for you guys to get some alone time in. When we first started traveling, we were together constantly but we soon learned that moments alone help the moments together to be even more sweet. Introverts need time to recharge, I guess.

We stayed in Straits SP when we visited this summer. Currently working on a review of the park. We wondered the same thing about how hikers would get across the bridge. Good to know. Next time we visit we will check out the Father Marquette Memorial for sure. Wish we had spent more than three days in the area. One of our days was a wash out too. Nice views of the Mighty Mack

We really love the area so much! I sure wish it didn't rain pretty much every time we go out on a trip. (sigh) Be sure you check out our blog post about activities in the area before you go. We have even more ideas of things you would enjoy in there: takeatriptogether.com/stignace/

It’s great that you both have your own way of relaxing individually and make time for quality time together 😁 enjoyed the walk along the woods and the history! Poor jeans 😂 time to retire hahaha I am the same, I have but 3 pairs or so 🤣 they’ll probably give up on me soon. Have a great week ahead :) look forward for autumn videos!

The more we get out on adventures the more of a beating our jeans/pants take. The price us photographers make to get the best shots, right? We don't stand on the edges of cliffs as much as you do, though.❤️ We're excited to see your next adventure as well!

Great video as always. Cool bridge picture Dennis! Wow! And busted….I am at the age where jeans are still good as long as one of the beltloops still works. 😂 I’m with Dennis on this one. Lol. And I wish it wasn’t raining the day we had at Straits. We wanted to see that view “strait” down the bridge. It was pouring and we were soaked packing up the camper to head north ☔️ And interesting history with the Ojibwa and Father Marquette.

Oh, shoot. So sorry about the rain when you were there. It really was a great perspective! One belt loop seems to be all Dennis needs to keep using jeans as well. Ha ha ha! Hey, I guess it works. We really loved your video yesterday as well. Beautiful lighthouses!!! 🌊🚢

Thanks for sharing another great video! I'm planning a stay at Straits SP in late May and I'm adding all these places to my itinerary. I've driven by the Father Marquette Memorial so many times - I can't believe I never stopped!

Oh, that's so good to hear. I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Hopefully you can get a site sort of near where we were because that whole part of our loop was really private. We were in site 35. Can't wait to hear all about your adventures! Also, check out our blog post here with even more ideas for when you're in St. Ignace: takeatriptogether.com/stignace/

That is how my wife and I are. I'll go out solo on the kayak usually in the mornings/midday while she stays at the camp and relaxes and watches whatever wildlife is out. I never understood those who go camping to just watch TV or set up a projector to watch TV. One more thing to put on the must have camping list: Duct tape. Repairs ripped pants quickly. Like Dennis, I would have made a similar "astute" comment concerning the folding chairs. I usually get 3-5 years out of my jeans and I'm very hard on them. I prefer Diamond Gusset brand as they're US made and I can purchase them in a store not too far away. Just updated 'my wardrobe' this weekend, in fact.

Yes! It confounds me that so many RVs not only have multiple indoor TVs but those outdoor TVs as well. Who goes out into nature because they want to watch/hear their neighbor's TV??? LOL We actually have duct tape with us but with the location of the rip Dennis wasn't sure he wanted to chance it. We'll have to check out that brand. Sounds great! Congratulations on getting some new duds. I think I know what Dennis is getting for Christmas. Ha!

Hi friends! Gorgeous shot of the bridge Dennis! Think it’s time to quit your day job 😉. It’s so fun exploring these areas with you. Scenic view means going up 😂 yep! I agree Michelle, it’s so satisfying after an adventure day! Aggressive seagulls! 😂 oh come on Dennis, let’s see the “cold” spot 😂. The old maps are great! Have you been to St Augustine old map museum. They are like works of art! “Cut” 😂 Loving the creepy woods music 😮. Holy cow, that’s a huge split lol. I would have been rolling on the floor laughing 😂. Looks like they’ve seen better days 😉. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! Can’t wait to see those fall colors!

Yes, we were finally able to lay those jeans to rest. Phew!!! Now you know why we couldn't show you the cold spot. 🤣🤣 No, we haven't been to St. Augustine but it's definitely on the bucket list!!! We would love for Dennis to be able to at least retire someday and become a full time photographer. Continuing to try to perfect his craft in photography and also our KZbin skills to help make that happen. In the meantime, we are enjoying our adventures and getting to "meet" so many wonderful people who are on similar journeys. We really loved your last video as well. You guys always make us laugh! Hope you have a great week!
