Y'all (Salt, Pepa) still dissing DJ Spinderella acting like she wasn't an integral part of Salt n Pepa?

That "super grateful the opportunity" line has to hurt Spin to this day. You cant say that, today, to a person who helped make you rich. Spin made me want to watch their videos. Believe me, no one checked for Salt or Pepa anytime their videos came on TV. Shit, I remember the first time I saw Spin take a booty shot for Right On Magazine, and I was like "Damn, she got ass. Im going to start watching their videos."

First of all, please speak for yourself. I was always checking for a Salt n Pepa video. To this day Shake your Thang, Get up, Expression and, Gitty Up are my favorite Salt n Pepa videos. Secondly, at 16 years old, anyone would have been grateful for the opportunity to work with Salt n Pepa because they already had a name established for themselves. Push It was recorded. The Hot, Cool, and Vicious album was completed. Tramp had a video. All these things were already done before Dee Dee "Spinderella "Roper came along. Lastly, she wasn't even the initial choice to be the DJ for Salt n Pepa. Hurby asked Wendy Williams but, she turned it down because at that time rap music was still new and her passion, at the time, was in radio.

Great INTERVIEW, But At Least SOREN BAKER IS Not vlad Who Be Always Asking Creepy ASS Questions About 2PAC All The Time. Because Vlad Be Asking Too Much Questions & Being So Obsessed With 2PAC Vlad Is Tooo Infatuated With 2PAC And It Looks Very Suspicious. SOREN BAKER Always Gets To The Point And Never Asks The Same Ol Questions.

I just saw the Salt N Pepa biopic a couple of nights ago. It was decent. I thought they put an acceptable amount of effort in it, and it definitely wasn't something that they just threw together so, it was definitely decent 👍.

Please! They ain’t write no parts of no rhymes!! They were puppets. 1st Herbie wrote everything. Then Pep got with Treach and he and his team wrote it all. The record company hired writers for them their whole career and they wanna diss the only member who actually HAD TALENT in Spinderella.
@jeffreycarroll99563 жыл бұрын
Treach is one of the most underrated lyricist of all time. It was a shame how Spinderella was treated, she was straight up betrayed by people who were supposed to be friends.

DJ Spinderella deserves to be acknowledge in any type of Salt n Pepa accolades, awards and achievements as she was an integral part of the group. Whenever Salt n Pepa try to minimize DJ Spinderella they minimize themselves as well to fans who support the group (Salt, Pepa & DJ Spinderella)

Spin only has 3-4 co-producer credits. How can you say she is the only one with talent when they were selling records before she even joined the group?
@IceManLikeGervin3 жыл бұрын
@@lezlethal DJ Spinderella (Dee Dee Roper) was with SnP for their Push It video and was the DJ Spinderella on their first ever tour with The Fat Boys (The Wipe Out Tour 1987). Dee Dee Roper has been on every album besides their first album when another DJ Spinderella (Latoya Hanson) was down with SnP.

@@lezlethal exactly, salt n pepa wrote and produced on every album except the first one...Salt even wrote and produced Expressions by herself,one of their biggest hits !

I lost interest in Salt n Pepa after they stop rhyming about fun things and became radical feminists. I remember Pepa saying some homophobic stuff (which was supposed to originally be misandric but leaked into being homophobic) on stage in the early 90's and I was done with them. Their best work was on their first album when they were still innocent and having fun. Nothing beats "My Mic Sounds Nice", "I'll Take Your Man" and even "At Warp Speed Pt. II" (the B-side to "Beauty and the Beat") was hot as hell. Their edge declined with each new album.

The first Spinderella say Salt Didn't Like her because of how cool and close she was to hurby who was Salt boyfriend at the time... They both have different stories but salt did admit they weren't feeling her.
