It's funny to me that in my 37 years living in the US, I have only been to Texas once, and it was just for a night. Drove through on my way back from Palm Beach FL, helped a buddy drive a 67 Camaro SS the 3200 miles from FL to CA, in less than 3 days. It was as brutal as this song is, driving 10-12 hrs (each) per day and trying to sleep in the passenger seat in a loud 550hp monster of a car. Unforgettable experience, and my only ever visit to the southern US. Not much of a visit, since we really only stopped for food and gas! Killer band and song!
