Thank you for this video…..Now, I understand about St. Joseph. A few years ago, I was sitting in the living room making a rosary to donate to the church where they will distribute to the prison, or school in other countries. Suddenly I heard a voice very clear… said “Pray to St.Joseph “, I was looking around who’s talking to me, but no one around cuz I live by myself, anyway I asked a few of my Catholic’s friends, they said just add to your prayers…After watching this video…now, I understand…on November 2016 - my elder son passed and I always prayed for him…I believe that voice is trying to help me to guide a grieving mother …once again thank you for this video, and keep a good work…God Bless you Alvaro 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I pray the St Getrudes prayer, but I didn't know that about St Joseph for the souls in purgatory. I do say the ancient prayer I pray to St Joseph daily I love that prayer. I also will ask St Joseph to help all souls in Purgatory, especially those who have no one to pray for them. I have had two people tell me they don't believe in Purgatory, I'm hesitant to say" you will when you get there. "God Bless You, pray pray pray

Why be hesitant? If you care for them, you would warn them. But not by using the comment you mentioned, which would only antagonize them.... Spend some time studying about Purgatory and then prayerfully write out some key points about what you learn, so you can share with people in a meaningful and factual manner.

@@patrickwimsatt7492 it does not. But it's complicated. As they tell you on retreat, the amount of suffering removed in in relation to your true sorrow for your sins. Can a confession take away the punishment? Yes it can but It's not typical. That's why you go on retreat and do regular general confessions so you get into the proper state to have true contrition. Confession removes our sin so regular confession may very well remove time spent in purgatory. Prayer is very powerful. Strive toward Sainthood. We are all baptized Priest Prophet King. Only God knows how much purification we need.

@@patrickwimsatt7492 Confession is necessary to forgive your sins. However there is a penalty for every sin you have committed. That penalty must be paid in Purgatory. You can obtain indulgences to lessen your time in Purgatory, say prayers, lead a Holy life. You can also have all the penalties removed once a year on Divine Mercy Sunday which is the 1 week after Easter Sunday. You have to follow certain simple rules. But it is one of the greatest gifts Jesus has given us. Jesus said before he comes as a Just Judge he comes as The King of Mercy.

I think we can go to Joseph also for the souls in limbo since he was there himself until the Lord set him free. The Lord is emphasizing the intercessory power of St. Joseph. St. Teresa of Avila also says go to Joseph! St. Joseph is the patron of a Holy Death. The Infants 👶🏽 in limbo have committed no actual sin. St. Joseph, guardian of virgins and patron of the dying, pray for all the innocent souls in limbo. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🕊️

@@shellahightower5584 According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Jesus opened heaven through his death and resurrection, allowing those who have faith in him to share in his heavenly glory. The Catechism also states that before Jesus' resurrection, those who died went to "hell," but the righteous went to a place called "Abraham's bosom" where they would be comforted until heaven opened. When Jesus descended into hell after his death, he opened the gates of heaven for those in Abraham's bosom.

Thank you Alvaro for doing videos related to Purgatory. In this video at 13.00, you have mentioned that "sometimes God will use demons as instruments of justice in the lower parts of purgatory". But our true God who gave his own life for the salvation of every soul from Satan and all demons may not use demons to purify us. God created humans and angels. Those angels who rebelled God became demons and tempt humans to sin. If humans fall into this temptation, they sin and once they repent, they need purification to reach heaven. The souls in the lower parts of Purgatory are the ones heavily stained by sins and they need largescale purification. These are the souls who had a narrow escape from Hell, by the mercy of God. The presence of demons in the lower level of purgatory might be due to the severity of the sins committed by these heavily stained souls. As they gets purified, they move to the upper levels of Purgatory and later on to heaven.

What do you mean by implying that God may NOT use demons in Purgatory? God is God, and He may do what He wills, and He does permit demons under strict control, NOT TO TORMENT, but to assist in bringing about true metanoia in certain souls in deeper layers of Purgatory.

Yeah that prayer im not so sure about. It says i prostrate to thee, we should only do that to God/Jesus, and then talks about how St Joe is the only one who can help us with the problem that afflicts our hearts or whatever...God cant help? Did this guy write this prayer himself? This seems like its beyond just asking for intercession.
