Javier IRURZUN a huge one you both missed is defensive awareness and ability, every midfielder must learn how to defend and drop back to strengthen the defence as well as attack, where as you said, a key component of that is fitness meaning you can breeze from attack to defence and help out with every situation

This video helped me, being a midfielder is a tough spot because you have to keep the rhythm of the game on going. Qualities such as reactions, vision is a big one, control, passing , and reading both teams are just as much very crucial as you have to think about what your team is going to do but also what the other team is planning. Ones mentality is just as strong as one physical attributes.

A midfielder must be great at finding space. Finding and even "creating" space (through runs or diagonal movements) are essential for good positioning, which is something every midfielder should be very skilled at. Positioning is crucial.

I am a defensive midfielder .The tips were too good. According to me scoring goals is not always the best , brilliant passing , playmaking and also rock solid defence is always crucial , important and mostly fun. After all the vedios like previous ones was great.

I think with awareness you need to be fit. Wingers can get away with short sprints and walking to recover but I find myself having to jog while recovering during the game when I'm in the midfield, which is difficult for 90 minutes

Most important skill is passing but specifically your passes need to be very fast/strong but simultaneously very accurate and easy for your teammates to control. This is extremely difficult to master since the faster and stronger you hit the ball the more difficult it is to control the roll of the ball. That's why it's a rarity to see a player who's mastered it like Pirlo, Xavi, Busquets and Alonso

Today was the best game of my life, me and a couple of friends played against some other classmates, and me, in attacking midfielder position assisted 5 goals. I'm very proud of them, and I tackled the opponent 8 times, outrunning them sometimes when their own gk clears.

ever heard of a wing back? or is that not in US/wherever youre from systems? Wing backs whip in crosses/ score goals when you've got other competent backs in your formation... find a club like liverpools 4-3-3 With TAA pushing up the flanks as a WB or find a club with 5-3-2... you need to suggest these things to your manager if you can play as an attacking back.. but you need to not be stupid and attack every possession. Wingers are becoming a thing of the past in uk/european football, its all about Wingbacks. More forwards up the pitch=more goals
