Thanks I started with CAL and for last week my Income Fund yield is 10.8%, CAL registration is completely online didn't even had to call anyone :). ALso opened with NDB and First Capital both needed some forms to be filled and posted no need to visit their branches

How do you transfer funds to CAL? I'm having trouble transferring online because most banks do transfers using CEFTS, which seems to be not working for Deutsche Bank (CAL).

If the short selling game is there. Index fund managers can lend shares to short sellers & make an extra income. These are classic passive investments & directly link with the economy. These funds can be mismanaged & collapsed too. ( they don't investment 1:1 ratio in some assets), flash crashes etc) When funds are performing well, everyone is flocking. When situ is bad , funds are outflowing & less funds to manage, that is the danger

Can you please do a video on when it's good to invest in an equity fund? Usually cash rich investors invest in the stock market when it's down so that they can get more units for less cost. Does the same apply in an equity fund? What's the best time to invest in an equity fund and when is it good not to? Judging by the returns during the last 5 years it seems like income funds give a better return than equity funds here in Sri lanka? A video explaining this would be great. Thank you.

Don't we need to reduce the management fee to calculate the actual yield, when unit price is given..

yes correct, That's why I calculated it based on unit prices, That price is actually what you get when you buy or sell. So it must be, fee adjusted figure. That is why as you see in the video, my calculated AER is little lower than the AER shown in the November statement sent to me by CAL. Hope it's clear👍👍👍

As you said UT charges 0.5 but share mkt 1.12x2 buy and sell, so that mean considering charges UT is better than share ???? What about devident, rights , etc . if we select index fund, are we getting that also ?? What will be the minimum amount??
