Wow nicely explained ❤️ This is very good for new investors. Most people just start doing investing without knowing the company. Actually they do not invest, what they do is speculating; which equivalent to gambling. For most people knowledge doesn not matter. All they do is, take graphs of stock history and trying to predict. What I believe is, if you own a company you must work hard for it, you must know everything about your company. Why dont you apply the same theory when you own few shares of a company 😊 I must say these videos influence and motivate young people to inves, not speculate (most people think they are investing while speculating) . And thank you very much for your effort. Keep up the good work. Explains deep stuff in simple language 😊❤️

Sir, Do banks have working capital? Is the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) the same as Current Ratio/Working Capital Ratio? It is difficult to calculate the working capital of a bank because a bank's balance sheet does not include typical current assets and liabilities.

LCR comes under Basel3 guidelines and CBSL has also given directions to compute the same for Banks. It is a different measure from current ratio

I'm discussing all these in this episode series. Because no pint in jumping to the deep end with no foundation. For now just think if price is less than NAv, then its a good buy (but don't just get carried away with that result)

What are the disadvantages of a right issue to the Share holders? Is it benifited to the company?

If a Shareholder did noy buy rights he will dilute his % share, will lose the chance of buying new stocks at the discount. Companies go for rights when they need to raise additional capital. For eg Banks have a Capital threshold and they need to raise capital if it falls below the minimum level required by the Central Bank

Is savings are safe in banks such s BOC or People's than Sampath and others? Kindly note that with reference to fluctuating annual/ quarterly reports it is not practible to change savings frequently.

Yes for savings or FD rates there is no point in looking at the Annual/quarterly reports for that matter. So best thing is if you can refer totheir web site and get that info. All the banks you mention are safe. But if you really concern that you need some kind of a state protection best would be NSB, BOC or PB

yes , its ok, but if you are tactical enough and have a good financial discipline you can do it yourself. But most of us do not have a control in our expenses, so wealth planners can be recommended.

In simple Equity = Capital + all the reserves. Your understanding of NAV is correct. Rating companies consider a variety of aspects and capital is only just one factor

Since annual report is for a 12 month period, it usually shows the lowest price, highest price and the last Closing price as at 31st December. So ratios like P/E calculated based on the Closing price as at 31st December.

It's not ethical for me to give buy recommendations on stocks as I'm not an investment advisor. But my advise is, do not ever rely on anyone's recommendation to buy, get the knowledge and learn how to decide. I have done a lot of videos covering a full spectrum, for anyone to build up that knowledge to take their own decision and will continue that effort. From annual reports, to ratios, to fundamental analysis to complex technical analysis range, there are videos uploaded in this channel. So please get the knowledge. I know it is not as easy as I say. But if you allocate some time to watch the videos and learn and practice what I explained, sure you will develop your own instinct skill. Even if you get recommendations from an investment advisor of a broker, you don't know when to sell, how long to hold them , so you will have to keep on asking him what to do. Moreover no one knows your risk appetite. So you are the best person for you to recommend on stocks. Just think. Hope it helps
