My family and I only fly business class on United and on long haul flights we get our meal within 45 mins. I always thought everyone get the Ice cream cart on long haul flights

I just returned from Japan in April of 24. Seat Guru said I had bad seats in economy back row. Only 1,190. Loved all of it. ON United, returning to San Francisco. FleW Al Nippon. Liked food on United better.😊

I'm flying to Japan, next April, with my son, and his Japanese wife. They are talking Polaris, but I'm thinking Premium Plus, since Premium plus is half the price. We'll be flying from LAX, like you did. As far as I can see, Premium plus, looks a lot like domestic First class.

The seats are a bit bigger and you have more space. And like you said, the price good as well.

Did your seat recline enough since it was against wall? Did person in front of you recline into you?

Yes, the seats reclined. The people in front of us did recline their seats but it was not bad at all!

How did you sleep, if at all on those seats? I've been in 787 premium economy but not a trans pacific.

I have a hard time sleeping on planes, but when I did fall asleep it was good. The seats are comfortable so I would recommend!

Looks like United revamped their meals in premier plus, the food looks scrumptious. For anyone heading to Japan, I seriously advise passengers look into U.S. airlines as an alternative. I flew Japan Airlines early this year in same class of service and the food was shockingly bad and disappointing, the food served here looks much, much better ! Glad to see United finally getting their act together
