I hope the video does his memory justice Fiona. After becoming manager of United, a couple of years later he was asked to pick his all-time United XI, your grandfather was his deserved right back choice. Your grandfather, and others like him, like Joe Spence, Charlie Roberts, Jack Rowley etc. are a big reason I make these videos. They are legends of the club who are not fresh in the memory of young fans but need to be known by us now majority who never saw them play...

Sad that it seems like he's massively overlooked by even my generation, who started watching United in the '80's. Without extensive film footage, it's hard to get over how good players of that era and before were - the stories from the Reds who live though it are the best source, and sadly that's inevitably dwindling.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable video to watch. I would like to ask whether the training session with the heading practice would be at the Cliff by chance? I was wondering because it looks like there was a tiny bit of terracing where the dressing rooms would later be.
