To answer your question, 1,200 people were killed in Israel by a terrorist group. 4,000 children were killed in Gaza by Israel and maybe with the help of the same terrorist group. In comparison to Israel, Gaza is tiny, so that's huge chunk of that population. I don't think a terrorist group cares about that, or the people that was taking shelter in the oldest church in the world- Church of Saint Porphyrius. So no, Hamas still didn't 'get what's coming'.
