⚽️ For those saying Utds title drought is no different to other clubs like LFCs 30yr wait and Arsenal ongoing 22yr wait… …It is different because Utd are the wealthiest club in the league! (If Real Madrid finished 8th last year a domestic cup win, and was in 13th today 7 games in after 3yrs do you think the manager would still be in a job) Speaking as a Liverpool fan for over 40yrs I dreamed Utd would go decades without a title, but never thought it could be possible as they can buy the best players and pay the highest wages! Liverpool and Arsenal were never in that position during there droughts! Utds recruitment has been awful and is still continuing under Eth and this ‘new management team’. I couldn’t be happier, how can Utd be in 13th after 7 games with a manager 3yrs in the job setting the worst records in the clubs history but still continuing? We had Rafa and others winning Champions leagues, playing great football and finishing top 4… not getting hammered by any team in the league with heavy losses. Fergie could rotate against bottom teams due to those teams leaving out there star players to fight another day, now every club rocks up at old Trafford expecting 3 points (fighting for every point also leads to more injuries, Utd last year and LFC but chasing different ambitions) … City and Liverpool have both left recent blueprints in building squads to compete for the title, Arteta has jumped on board the four year plan and is doing great, but Utd are way off… 😊 LFC brought players for a system, now with a new manager but the same players and the same system will continue under the same recruitment team ❤️ (with Slot playing more conservative like City, the players should be able to go deeper into the season and avoid picking up so many injuries unlike last year) 🤞🏾

Liverpool weren’t playing fantastic football under Rodger’s Evans Souness king Kenny or Rafa and since the start of this century they have competed for a league title in only a handful of seasons. You seem to have forgotten the 7-2 defeat to Villa and the 6-1 defeat against stoke and Coventry 5-1. Chelsea Manchester United and City along with Tottenham scoring 4 goals to 0 and 4-1 in a few games. You say that Liverpool have built a blueprint for years and have only one league title and 2 second finishes and you seem to have forgotten about the age of some of the most important players and the fact they can leave for free in two months time if they don’t get the contract situation sorted. The real test for Liverpool is over the next month they have Chelsea and Arsenal in a couple of weeks and then we’re see how good they are. I personally think Caicedo will absolutely dominate them in midfield and Trent will be exposed as the most overrated player in the league. Can’t wait

@@Kickstart_Magazine I seem to remember Conte and Chelsea beating him in his first season and I don’t remember Liverpool beating a team in a final apart from the boring UCL final against Tottenham in the rest of their finals they were outplayed and won on penalties in games that they were given a number of controversial decisions in their favour. I don’t see how they could be a dominant team in this period where they were the worse defence of a title and were the most beneficial from basically dodgy referees and var to help them win a lot of matches. The fact is they have competed in 3 of the seven klopp years and one of the Rodgers’s seasons apart from that they have been fighting for 4th place at best in a huge amount of seasons. I don’t support Manchester United by the way and I don’t get all the same points about them they are going back to the same position they were in before Ferguson was manager and that’s mid to bottom half of the league and that’s like Rafa said is FACTS

This is remarkably similar to an argument I had regarding the culture at Liverpool. Culture comes from the top and runs throughout an organisation of which in a football club the players and coaching staff are a part of. At man utd there doesn't appear to be any coherent culture. The owners and board members simply haven't been defining a culture / system of organisational values and a strategy to implement it- or if they have the managers seem to largely ignore them which is down to poor recruitment and management by the board.
