Turkish should fly to Brisbane. We are heavily underserved compared to Sydney & Melbourne and our international terminal is too under utilised. In saying that, although our airport is ok, our city has gone downhill in recent years, so we need to do more to lure tourist and airlines back. But with more international airlines returning could bring some much needed life support into Queensland. Our city is undergoing a massive operation for the 2032 Olympics.

The only thing they should improve is remove the 737 entirely and replace it with something new (727 reimagine or something new) or a reimagined MD-90 (like the 717, but stretched with the same LEAP engines, but have a slightly skinny nacelle like what the MD-90 did have with a different reverse thrust).

I have a pretty negative view on "Boeing becoming a leader." Airbus is talking about the new designs they want to work on while Boeing will be tied down for years trying to fix their current problems. I don't see how that situation gives Boeing any path to becoming a leader. I see Boeing in danger of falling into the same situation as McDonnell Douglas in the 1980s. That is to say they didn't have the resources to keep up with new designs and they spent their last two decades just making variations of their existing models.

United is getting hit so hard this year 3 things in just a few days. Man I hope everything can get fixed
@Blank00
@Blank00 7 ай бұрын
To be fair, only one of those things is on United maintainence. The other two are the fault of the airport. One of these incidents, the airport failed to clear the airspace of bubble wrap, causing an engine to ingest it and catch fire. As for the other incident, the runway excursion was caused by overspeeding a turn in response to ATC ordering pilots to not slow down.

These days, if you are dumb enough to buy Boeing you should not be surprised to find that yet again they have very serious quality issues that go well beyond the norm. I've flown the 787 many times and like the aircraft. However, give me the A380 and A350 every time. Airbus A320s and 330s are also fantastic aircraft. I don't trust Boeing these days.

The most accepted theory is that the 787's software was not reset in a 22 days timeframe, so the system rebooted itself. Then the pilot must have pushed the yoke abruptly due to being startled by the issue.

Competition for Airbus is necessary, as the video says. But it doesn't have to be Boeing. I would rather Boeing to be replaced by another company that can deliver fully assembled, not self-melting airplanes whose rudder point to the correct direction and the vertical stabilizer doesn't have anything against leveled flight.

See the anti-Boeing media is going to town on incidents involving aircraft delivered years ago. How many times have tyres been changed on 777 N2140U in the past 7 years before one fell off? Three times a year in long haul 777 is a figure given, which is around 20 times in 7 years? 787 CC-BGG has been in service for 8 years. . It would have been through at least two C checks. Etihad did LATAM's first 787 C check. It was on BBB in 2015 which was delivered in 2012.
